Actually, it's to sell toys, which is frankly what a lot of mecha is for, too. :P

You get an "F" for "attempt at fitting in by trying to bring up RSA in a thread that has nothing to do with him".
I don't have to attempt to fit in. I'm just stating that RSA would be crazy enough to come up with Star Wars transformers. I could bring up someone else completely insane, though he or she has nothing to do with the thread. I've been on this thread long enough to know how it works, what to say and what not to say, and when to avoid reading a certain topic. Fitting in has nothing to do with what I said.

Ah, then you're just wrong and quite possibly rather stupid instead of a me-tooer who is also wrong.

Darkstar is a Trekkie, not a Warsie. And not even a warsie could like these, IMO, since they're ugly as sin. If that sin were slapped with an ugly stick- no, shilleleigh- repeatedly until the other sins made fun of it in middle school because it was so ugly.

I'm waiting for the Grand Moff Tarkin toy with an alt-mode of the Death Star I.

...Man, I wish I hadn't thought of that.

I don't even want to think about where the gun would pop out of.

I'm sorry, did I break someone's brain again?

And the fact that Darkstar is not a Warsie has nothing to do with my post. I simply stated that he would be insane enough to come up with these. Beliefs are out of the question.

The weird thing isnt the hole in the falcon, its the fact that in the latest insider with Yodas head on it i read the article today about the transformers and the insider guy was like, man i would love it if Hasbro figures out a way to put a 3 transform pack of Han and Chiew in the Falcon. It sounded like he was just wishing, not that he knew about it

Dude, just... stop talking. You're not making it better for yourself.

They already have planets that transform into robots-- Unicron and Primus-- for the 'Transformers Cybertron/Galaxy Force' line. It'll be child's play to resculpt the toys to resemble the Death Star and Grand Moff Tarkin.

It's hardly "child's play" to do such extensive retooling. Yes, extensive retooling. It'd probably be a better idea to simply make an entirely different mold.

And from an economic standpoint, it's not likely.

Actually, it's just that in their "armored person mode" the armor looks so damn out of place in the Star Wars universe. They look so much like anime robo-characters that I cannot associate them with Star Wars at all. It's like having Optimus Prime on the bridge of the Executor-- so obviously out of place that it just pushes the viewer out of the story.
