We were stuck with the hospital. Nicole (my wife) needed some surgical intervention post-birth, as her uterus wouldn't close up. She had a D&C, some drugs, and 6 units of blood and plasma. With that kind of history we couldn't take any chances.

This will also be the last child, barring unforseen circumstances.
