Notice that normal people like Dan Wallace and Abel G. Pena like us just fine.
Don't be so sure. As KT's novels have been quite successful, it's possible that the people behind the show have been influenced by that so that we'll only see small-scale skirmishes involving a few null-ARCs or regular clone soldiers singing "Vode An".VT-16 wrote:Yeah, I read that tirade about the Wiki. Ahh, so infuriating to see sources that don't agree with her getting highlighted. Not to mention the ever-growing number of battles in the CW section.
The 3D CW series is gonna be brutal in that respect.
Next you'll be telling me Lucas har lost interest in big, extravagant CG battles.it's possible that the people behind the show have been influenced by that so that we'll only see small-scale skirmishes involving a few null-ARCs or regular clone soldiers singing "Vode An".
Then do something about it. :PGodawful jackasses.
Sticking my thumb in a dike hardly appeals when the dike was designed to be a sieve. Trying to "fix" a Wiki is almost certainly futile, and while I respect the determination behind trying, it's not something I'd waste my time on.VT-16 wrote:Then do something about it.
Exactly. Remember, this is a Wiki, you can make any edit you want.VT-16 wrote:Then do something about it.Godawful jackasses.
Bullshit. If you let people like Hodge do all that crap, you'll only end up with countless more n00bs going on about WEG-induced sources after reading the Wiki. That's why I appeal to more experienced people to tackle it, I'm not going to sit by and watch this shit multiply even more and continue to propagate in debates.Sticking my thumb in a dike hardly appeals when the dike was designed to be a sieve. Its very structure as a Wiki and the philosophy makes that kind of fight basically unwinnable. There's only the remote hope that, after days of wrangling and argument, that you could have the topic edited to your satisfaction and then locked so that people can't sneak in the next day and fuck it up. So you feel strongly enough about Wookiepedia to spend the time to try and make it a better resource--more power to you.VT-16 wrote:Bullshit. Ah, but there is official support for a higher figure--the evidence of eyes and functioning brains. There's no way that a planet with the observed characteristics of Coruscant can have an average population density of around 2,700/km^2 (going from the diameter given in the same article). That's quite roomy for a city, comparable to Buffalo, NY or Cleveland, OH--and utterly incomparable to what we have seen with our own eyes of Coruscant. In order for Coruscant to have a population of merely 1 trillion, the great majority of the planet would have to be deserted.Btw. I chewed him out on the Coruscant talk pages. I know there isn't an official figure for a higher population number, but his fan-induced crap has got to go.
I'm trying to get through their heads about that one. It's a helluva time just with the ISD and Mon Cal cruiser weaponry.Ah, but there is official support for a higher figure--the evidence of eyes and functioning brains.
I believe he had a bit part in AOTC. As for the rest of SW, he does seem to have essentially quit commenting or putting up websites. IIRC he was listed in the ROTS ICS, though, so I imagine Saxton still keeps in touch at least.VT-16 wrote:Speaking of Bob Brown, has anyone heard what he thought about ROTS? Or has he cut all ties to SW, fanbased and otherwise?
