I salute you MoO. The pages absolutely destroy his arguments. Of course refuting most of what DS writes isn't exactly a major accomplishment, but congrats for plowing through so much BS (that was an accomplishmnet).

Unfortunately, DS will never be silenced. No matter how many different ways his points are shreadded, he simply refuses to shut up.

It's quite good, but I find that there are far too many Editor's notes... in most cases the text in the Editor's notes is twice as much or more than MoO's original text.

Maybe the Editor (Wong, I presume) and Ossus should have agreed on stuff to add to Ossus' text, instead of adding all of it as Ed's notes?

I wanted to give Mike a chance to correct anything that he felt was wrong, and it was his site, anyway. I didn't see a problem with the Editor's notes. Additionally, I did NOT want to let anything like what Mike said get by, and to use Mike's points incorporated into my rebuttal would merely have allowed DarkStar to claim that I was a plagiarist (which, he almost certainly will, anyway, but it makes it harder).

Again, I don't think I destroyed him, either in the sense that he will stop spreading his bullshit. The goal was not to do that. The goal was to get other people to stop referencing his site as a credible source, and I think that I DID accomplish that.

Basically, the Wall of Ignorance cannot be destroyed by any craft we here possess. It was made in DarkStar's twisted mind, and only there can it be un-made.

Bravo, very good, Now maybe he will stop giving such a bad name to trekkies(people who enjoy Star Trek) but I doubt it. I sense his fortress falling to the ground in the future, when I don't know, but IT WILL FALL!

Just a suggestion Master of Ossus. You might want to list a credits page for all the people who helped you with technical information and the like. Its obviously your conclussions and your work, but we do know others helped. Giving a credits section shows DarkStar just how universal an effort it was and that he is not greatly appreciated.

It is rather unlikely that the front of the nacelles are considered "foreward shields" because, IIRC, the bussard area is masked by the saucer.

EXCELLENT idea, Alyeska, I second the motion. It will be alot harder for him to claim a rabid warsie jihad if there's a list of Trekkers and Warsies credited with helping you

Actually, with the exception of Mike's edits, I didn't need a lot of technical help. It was available to me if I had needed it, but pretty much what you see is what I wrote. You helped with general Trek info, Gil helped with the Scimitar page, and Wayne and Mike and Darkling made a few suggestions, but that's pretty much my work, and I think I accredited the people who made significant contributions to the technical things, too. The point was kind of to do it by myself, but it was pretty clear that Anderson is universally despised by people of all allegiances, so I didn't bother with Coalition-building or anything like that. I kind of figured that if he doesn't get it by now, he never will.

Good point. Anyway, some of us are vain enough we like to see our names credited nonetheless.

Can I get volunteers to run the link to the rebuttal over to both SB.com and ASVS, please? I'd like to get their reactions to it, as well. Thanks.

Are you hoping for some honest critisim Alyeska or do you believe they'll scream foul?

I wonder, mostly just to get an idea of how bad people consider Darkstar.

Okay...

Well still very nicely done MoO(done with it and liked how you did dig at a great many points of his, and broek them down so neat and cleanly)

Also would like to thank those who helped you to compile this, because it's nice to see such a group destroy that odd...abomination.

Holy shit. Kamakazie Sith and I agree on something. Next thing you know, DarkStar may admit defeat on some subject. [crosses fingers]

I own a t-shirt that says, "It's just a flesh wound!" In large, bloody letters, has a picture of the Black Knight, and below that says in smaller print, "Come back here and I'll bite your kneecaps off!"
