No contest.
None indeed, although I rather liked 'Blazing Saddles'... or some such Westren comedy.
Kinda old, I think.
But really funny.

My favourite comedy ever is Monty Python's Life Of Brian.

The Submarine magnet is excellent, and remember "he's no Mel Tormet!" :)
*heh* Yeah, that was funny, but that's only Val's best comedy. HIs best movie ever is WIllow.

Oh Rob, I love your oldies list. Operation Petticoat is one of my all time favorites! And you're right. There are WAY to many comedies to name.

Addition to your modern list: Hudson Hawk.
True, I only saw it a few weeks ago and I thought it was funny, but apparently it got panned when released. Silly people. :)

Some more oldies How to murder your Wife, Mister Roberts, Sons of the Desert, Way out West, Carry on Cleo, Carry on up the kyber, His Girl Friday, Arsenic and Old Lace, Father Goose, Harvey, A day at the races, A night at the Opera, History of the world part 1 (and i bet about a hundred more).

Modern, we have Airplane 1&2, Hot Shots, Toy Story 1&2, Bugs life, Chicken run, City hunter, Muppet Christmas Carol, Mars Attacks, Air Force One (yes that is a comedy  ), Gremlins 1&2, Evil dead 2&3, Project a, Project A-ko, George lucas in Love, Free Enterprise.

And still there are more. Just too many to write down

There's a radio programme called Desert Island Discs, and you have to choose 1 film, 1 record, 1 book, 1 luxury you can take on a desert Island. I'm utterly cofused that anybody can chose just one of something :? . If I couldn't take a range of films and a library of books I'd go insane, mind you the music thing doesn't matter so i suppose I could exchnge that for a few films and have a Library for my luxury item. but the point remains, how can anyone choose just 1 favourite?

You're not listening to it properly. You get five records, something to play them on, a holy book, the complete works of Shakespeare, one other book, and a luxury item - no film.

It's just an excuse for Sue Lawley to chat to people about their life.

So out of that list I get to choose 1 book and a luxury item? I'm sure the format was different before Lawley took over (maybe not, I've listened to it twice in the last 15 years). Anyway, I still can't understand how anyone can choose only one favourite?
