I've read that dossier, and they censored everything that could be interesting. It's really just fluff. And given the age of RA1, it's not really a spoiler anymore that Kane's in it. At the end of the Soviet campaign, Kane basically coups the new continental USSR, having one of his people poison Stalin.

And in the (Official) allies campaign he chokes Stalin himself.

We've always known that RA1 was part of the timeline, though RA2 is more... questionable.

I don't remember Kane appearing once during the Allied campaign. Canonically, I'm pretty sure Stalin was buried under a pile of rubble (with a little help from Gradenko).

The dates aren't the problem, the massive continuity inconsistencies are the problem. The Red Alert series is barely consistent with itself, and I don't think EA is going to get their rumored unified C&C timeline without intensive retconning. Until that happens, they're totally seperate worlds, and Kane and his Nod conspiracy are cameos.

And here I was honestly believing that there were no appealing aspects to the game. This looks to be the best cast yet.

The gameplay appears as though it's going to be an entertaining diversion, although obviously not on par with Supreme Commander. I honestly don't care how generic or derivative it might be. As long as Grace Park's smiling face is praising me for demolishing that Nod/GDI base, then nothing is going to top that feeling of satisfaction. She can command me anytime, anywhere.

Is anyone willing to speculate as to what factions the characters will belong to? Michael Ironside and Billy Dee Williams have been confirmed as General Jack Granger and Director Redmond, respectively, both affiliated with the GDI. I believe that Tricia Helfer is probably going to have a similiar role as Oxanna did in Tiberium Sun. To keep things balanced (like in Red Alert 2) Grace will probably be a GDI Field Commander or an intelligence officer. Well, those are my predictions, anyway.

Granger? You mean, isn't that like the Generals Airforce Guy? Are they going to tie Generals into the canon now?!

Or is this going to be a weird coincidence? Perhaps a sorta easter egg, like how a 'Cid' is in every Final Fantasy?

I doubt it. It's probably just a reference to the other character. They're separate universes after all.

It was actually the Greek general Stavros who buried Stalin all the way. But you're correct in Kane never showing up during the allied campaign. Stalin strangled one of his officers after the last attempt at taking the Chronosphere from the allies failed, perhaps that's what Death is recalling.

No... I remembered Stalin being choked to death under a pile of rubble (By Kain I thought) in the ending cutscene for The allies.
I must have gotten it mixed up with Stavros (Or Gradenko) killing him

Son of a BITCH!! Michael Ironside?? Lando? Kane? Effing-A!! Goddamn, I have hopes for C&C3 now. Although the acting could possibly be too good for the C&C series. C&C needs campy cheesy cutscenes that make critics cringe at first, but reminisce with nostalgia after finishing the game.

And the Space Marines... er... I mean Infantry look too WH40K.
