I wouldn't judge based on assuming that Dougherty won't do her research- not yet, anyway. It'll be a simple matter of browsing the book in the stores and seeing what's what.

Well, they do recieve their credits and I assume most of their sections are maintained as is. Liked most of the ROTS section she did on SW:CL (except we got nothing new on the four CW planets :() so I can't really say anything until I read it.

Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Well, considering that when the Complete VD was announced all they mentioned for new material was a new view of Artoo and the Sarlacc and in the end that was all we got, I think that'll be the case here, too.
Not exactly. As well as the new Artoo and Sarlacc material, the Complete Visual Dictionary also contains 8 pages of new Episode III material on the Battle of Utapau, Order 66, Clone Battle Tanks and Mustafar, and 6 pages of new original trilogy material on Rebel Warriors, Imperial Personnel and Cantina Patrons. So the Complete Cross-Sections may well include new material not mentioned in that item.

It might, but I think that it's pretty likely that it won't. At the least, it won't include the extremely wishful thinking material that some people have mentioned.

What? You mean there won't be footnotes in the new ICS saying that readers should disregard all previous firepower claims?

What are you talking about?

I'm refering to things like Mon Cal and Executor cutaways.

Sorry I confused this thread with the other one about the Trekkies complaining about the ICS and hoping that new ones will explicitly state how the first were wrong about firepower.

Well, there was nothing much to be wrong about, considering that they really didn't say anything about firepower.

Well, durn, Mon Cal cutaways would've been interesting. I always imagined that the lumps sticking out of the hull might have their artificial gravity oriented on different axes from the main ship.

Well one good thing about the combined volume, it should shut up the idiots who insist that the "ICS is canon" quote only refers to the first two volumes.
