Seriously though, this is one of the reasons that someone with an education is more likely to show deference to (for example) an astrophysicist about matters relevant to astrophysics than a dumbshit. The dumbshit is likely to doubt anything the astrophysicist says unless the astrophysicist can somehow make him understand it.
