He sneers.

"The Master wants you to eat. Why aren't you eating?"

He is silent, waiting patiently.

I sheath my sword and nod my head toward Toren. "And I am Johan Ragle. You have my sincere apologies for attacking you outside."

Appraise skill: 15 (roll) + 4 (skill) + 2 (INT bonus) = 21.
You find nothing unusual about the pile of bones.
Not the bones, the sword. Sorry for the vague phrasing.

"I am Sir Edward, knight-errant of His Majesty the King. You are Grozny?" The young man is obviously not pleased with the prospect of having to deal with a dwarf but he seems to be reasonable. "I believe I have some work for you..."
"Well Sir, what is it then?" Grozny is apprehensious at this man, noticing his slightly belittling tone in his voice, obiously because he knows of the dwarfs eagerness to cleanse the goblins. "How much will I be paid" snaps Grozny, "I want half now and half when I bring back the severed heads of 3 goblins." Grozny stands running his thumb along his axe blade.

It appears to be fairly normal. The only thing that is unusual is that it is of recent make, compared to the tatters of armor on the decayed corpse.

He seems surprised, but quickly regains his composure. "Patience, short one. Details must be worked out. The goblins have been unusually active as of late, and have recently attacked a few... key interests of ours. We need any goblins that may have survived the raid to be removed. Trace the goblins to their source, and eliminate the leader."

Edward tosses you a sack. "Your advance payment. You'll see plenty more if you do well." He then hands you a map marking the supposed location of the goblin raid.

Hmmm, odd... I'll pick up the short sword and continue to stealthily approach my destination, keeping a careful eye out for more undead visitors.

Nitram Tahalshia, you have just arrived in Inverness. The area is fairly chaotic and few give you any notice. You have the odd feeling that you are being watched, however...

You carefully make your way down a rocky slope toward a rock outcropping. There appears to be a natural cave there, which matches your map.

"Four and twenty virgins my left arm." Muttered the stray warrior/mage as he stalked through the chaotic town. Moreover, he was trying to find who was watching him, and relying on Minvera's gifts of detection to scry out any ill intentions. "I wonder what's going on, though.."

I enter the cave, sword readied. If there are no light sources present, I'll light a torch and look around.

As you are working your way through a crowd you manage to catch the eyes of someone obviously trying to shadow you without your notice. The man pulls up the cowl of his cloak and tries to disappear among the crowd.

The flickering glow of your torch reveals a cramped niche, with evidence of someone staying here recently. A simple firepit and a dirty bedroll are all that adorn the area.

I'll quickly extinguish my torch, go back outside, conceal myself and wait for the occupant of the cave to return.

Some twenty minutes later, you see a dark-robed man come down the same slope you did earlier. He apparantly doesn't see you, and walks into the cave where he is concealed by the darkness.

I'll follow the man into the cave, being careful to be quiet.
