Sure thing. How many do you need? $50 million for brand new machines (uncomplect, armaments bought separately of course depending on your needs). I'm constructing
125 this year, and most of them are heading to C.S.R. coastal patrol squadrons.

I'm looking at 12 a year over each of the next 3 years with options for 12 more.

Make it 15 a year, and it's a deal.

Ok, but the option for more will be dropped then

Quite frankly, it's impossible to say. The investigation is getting some momentum, though.

Generally when it comes to Shep and Skimmer, believing the worst is a valid position to take.

In that case you can use use the Lada or Improved Pumpjet Kilo (actually I'll be retiring some of the 636VM). Both are
more quiet than Type 212A and carry more ammunition. In fact, the Amur despite it's size carries more ammunition than Type 212 even for it's torpedo tubes (16 torpedoes), and it has 10 VLS capable of salvo launches in addition to 4 missile tubes. I guess it's a question of what you want from your SSK. If you want a costal machine that would hunt down small submarines, kill unwanted intruders and possibly shoot down enemy planes skimming the border, etc. the Type 212 is a good call, but if you want a boat with some strategic capability, the Lada or Amur are your choice. Without the ability to launch cruise missiles, the SSK is reduced to the role of coastal hunter.
Also, indeed size matters. The smaller a boat, the greater it's possible survivability vs. torpedoes - however, at the same time, the greater are it's hydrodynamic noises. The Pumpjet Kilo is the largest extreme quiet-boat in modern designs.
Consider that the Type 212 is 56 m long - whereas the Amur-950 is 59 m long, Lada 67 and Kilo 76,2. That's also one of the answers why the Neustrashimy was able to track a Type 212, smaller size.
I'll think about it. Budget constraints and all, and more AEW&CSI aircraft required. My original intention was to have them either run escort for the fleet, or to lie silent at choke points and along the coast.

I'm back and everything is different. Luckily for me you guys didn't do much and I managed to catch up quickly.
Stas, how many subs are you selling? I'm interested in buying the Kilos and maybe a couple of those Improved SSK.

Woh Stas, the Astarians can have the Star of Sweethaven now. Katarina is now safely aboard the CRS Concordia and is being taken to Van Halstoff Base, where arrangements will be made for her return to the CSR as quickly as possible.

Yes please do. Everyone in the SNC must do their part to defend the realm.

Laughs evilly.
PeZook I need a traitor within your government, someone high enough to help but not important enough to be missed.
P.S. Are you ok with how the story is progressing?

I'll send one Kh-15? Anyone mind the fate of slavers? Raise your objections before pilot Viktor pushes the button.

It makes me less likely to be targeted for termination and more likely to emerge unscathed from the nuclear holocaust, ready to assume a beneviolent dictatorship on the postapocalyptic dystopia for nearly half a century in a crazed and maddened state of techno-godhood.
Oh, and Exarch Decius better have some explaining to do!

CSR and Byzantium will remember to lob some nukes your way just to make sure we share the fun.

But seriously, after two attacks on your property, surely you want to do more to safeguard them? We are going to find the wreck of the ship soon, and eventually we will figure it was either Shepistan or Japanistan who sank the boat. You are going to be serving a bill to Shepistan, mind you. Especially when Shepistan is the only nation in the world that possibly uses an oversized torpedo.
Oh, and Exarch Decius better have some explaining to do!

Huh.. look, we aren't all that stuffed up that we don't celebrate Halloween, you know...

Play nice now, this is neither the time nor the place to start a shooting war. Besides there's just one destroyer out there, which was dispatched to recover a ship lost to mutiny. It's not like there's a whole fleet out there.

Yeah, I suppose it makes sense that organizing an assassination would be easier with a defector in government.
I'm not sure who could be co-operating with them, though. Maybe some sort of police official, who's bitter over sweeping reforms of the police force that took place 10 years ago? That's not quite on the "assassinate the king in revenge" level, though.
I'll need to give it more thought

Indeed, though we should decide if the incident with the ship gets some attention from Astarian media. I'm fairly sure it'd be mentioned, but not so sure as to what degree.

Remember the lackeys include slaves who willingly want to remain in Astarian hands.
Besides, there are better ways of dealing with this situation.

How about a radical anti-Communist who believes the King is selling PeZookia up the river?
