Regarding the Mandel blueprints, I'm still not caring much on the issue of whether they are official or not (it seems like a pointless discussion that has little relevance to any of the original points) but I will point out that Gyndine has appeared in the AOTC ICS under the aethersprite entry. Side question:
Isn't it possible that they were originally 'Star Destroyer' class cruisers (maybe with the first named as 'Star Destroyer')?

Side note:
I was wrong, stardestroyers (note the lowercase 's') even appeared in the rough draft of SW. They were at that time only fighters: 'Stardestroyers are two-man space craft crammed with sophisticated electronic weaponry.' and not exclusively imperial: 'Twelve pilots and navigators dash in unison to a line of waiting two-man starships of the destroyer class.'

Well the Star Wars official site describes them as battlecruisers. Since battlecruisers are essentialy cruisers with battleship guns your theory does have a point.

Another interminable "what Star Destroyers actually fucking are" debate filled with endless arguments about whether they're destroyers/cruisers/battlecruisers/battleships/carriers/heavy starfighter carrying cruisers/dreadnoughts and whatever else is not happening. Been done positively to death.
