Thanks for the info. That has now been fixed.
Good, but I still see "[an error occurred while processing this directive]" above it. Is it SSI?
Argh, the poll died months ago and I didn't even notice! I don't know what happened to it, but I lost the poll numbers for poll #13. All I know is that the Borg were winning by a big margin. Oh well, it would be stupid to run the poll again to get the same results, so I'll fix the polling code and throw up a new one.

You don't have the results in a text file somewhere on the server?

Ah, so that explains the sudden horrible performance lags. I've temporarily disabled the search function on the main board (it still works on the Archive board) while I try to figure out what's causing this.

Unfortunately, the SQL query appears to be normal, which might suggest that the problem is simply that the board's sheer size has passed a certain threshold which causes performance problems with my limited 1 GB of RAM. That would also explain why this problem just started today even though the new version has been in place for several days.

I've been thinking of upgrading to 2GB, but my MB can't support that much PC3200 RAM, so I would have to buy 2GB of PC2700 RAM and basically throw out the 1GB of PC3200 RAM that I already have.

Well, the ISP guy showed up and fixed the outage. Looks like an outside cable got torn loose.

Outside cable? Is that the norm?

The outside cable goes to a rooftop transceiver, because I'm using a wireless Internet connection.

The search function seems to be out on the archive board, too. Is that intentional?
EDIT: Disregard. It was either temporary or I'm to stupid to come up with valid search parameters. I suspect the latter.

I am having trouble accessing the search archive. Instead of the login/password screen, this pops up:

Not Found
The requested URL /login.php was not found on this server.

Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/1.3.29 Server at server.homelan.org Port 80

Edit: It now (2:31pm 5/2) appears to work :)

There was something screwy going on with a number of pics (ie someone's Yoda avitar pic instead of the profile button, the MSN button instead of my avitar pic). Seems to be fine now after reloading my avitar.

Good!

But the filter needs to change the url and not just the text to be effective.

Yes, it's an issue we are aware of.

Sorry for the momentary glitch just now. I had to do a couple of system maintenance operations.

Ah, wondered why I couldn't access the board for 30 minutes just now. I'm guessing there was further maintenance.

Seems to be sorted now, so I'm guessing the maintenance is over and done with.

Didn't you read the thread with a title in great big capital letters saying that the board was going to go down for half an hour? They had to do electrical work in the building.
