Actually, I associate Pcm with his Fett sig banner. I don't picture Pater as a Fett, but I think of the Fett face when I think Pcm.

Honestly, out of the corner of my eye I always see Pcm's avatar as some sort of crouching insectoid creature, with its forelegs extended. It took me a while to actually stop and analyze it for what it was, and recognize the BM in the cockpit. But to this day I still think 'crouching creature' whenever Pcm springs to mind.

Genweral a question How do you know when to tune a set of bagpipes?

Well, I'm going to call it a night. I'll post tomorrow and if Stormbringer is around, Gix will engage him in conversation. I'm gaming tomorrow night, so I will be somewhat busy.

"Inquisitor, that depends entirely on the situation on the ground when we land. If, for example, there's a company of World Eater's present and they carve your bagpipes up with chainaxes, you'll probably need to retune them. On the other hand, if a major daemon of Khorne ascends and tears your regimental bagpipe player to death, showering his blood all over the instrument, they'll probably need a good cleaning, but should stay in tune."

Sorry I haven't been around much, I got busy with the STGOD and some other shit. Meant to post Monday/Tuesday, but then the fucking ice storms hit
and wiped out my power.

Anyways, heres Crix:
Crix Vandar enlisted in the Imperial Guard at the tender age of 16, and soon blazed through the ranks to become a Major at 21. He soon was selected to be commander of an elite light infantry company that served on various primitive worlds, combating Chaos advance forces and assisinating rogue Imperial commanders. His skill with the sniper rifle soon became ledgendary ,scoring 402 kills in his 2 years of service with the company, and became a folk hero among the common men and women of the Imperium. He was then promoted to commander of the elite |-purged from records by Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor Xelean-| Imperial Guard Light Regiment. His tactical sense nearly rivaled his personal combat skill, and he lead his regiment on to dozens of victories across several worlds. He has been enhanced with dozens of augmetic implants.
Gear:
1 Mk. XV Sniper variant bolter: A standard bolter with vastly superior accuracy and killing power over the standard bolter, but with a limited magazine and rather long reload times. Colonel Vandar can accurately hit targets with the Mk. XV at up to 16 klicks away with sensor imagery enhancement. (OOC: Yes, rather far, but thats in optimal conditions, and with plenty of open space...) The Mk. XV fires standard stalker shells, and also a rather overpowered Kraken anti-material shell that can blow a hole through light tank armor.
Augmetically-strengthened arms: Enables Vandar to resist the mighty kickback of the Mk. XV when firing it's armor piercing shell.
Augmetic sight: Allows Vandar to see through walls, spot targets in complete darkness from klicks away, etc.
Lanvarok: An arm-mounted launcher that fires mono-edged discs at hypersonic speed. Extremely deadly at close range, but useless at ranges of more than 100 meters. The lanvarok has a magazine of about ten discs.
Power knife (self-explanatory)
Vandar wears a very light suit of 'smart' armor that hardens when it detects incoming kinetic rounds and reflects energy weapon rounds at close range. It can also effectively make him invisible to the naked eye and common spectral scanners.

DU bolter shells? Bolters come with diamite (whatever that is, but is sounds nifty) tips standard and Kraken rounds have adamantine tips.

Okay Tycho, got a couple of issues. 2,314 is an insanely high kill total, even for an uber-badass. Might want to revise that down to somewhere in the hundreds, which still rates him as uber-badass.
Second of all, was he commanding units while he was acumulating this kill tally? Those are usually two separate functions that don't share time very well. Unless he was pulling a Pappy Boyington and letting somebody else handle the mundane duties while he went on his killing crusade, which is an outside possibility.
As for his equipment loadout, it looks a bit on the high end side, but we've got a lot of high end stuff floating around, so I'll leave that part for NL's inspection.
Final question... I assume he's bringing his regiment with him... if that's the case, we'll work that into the storyline as a fresh (and much-welcomed arrival.)

I can`t believe this. The other night I was waching Starship Troopers and had the wicked urge to model a Guard Army off of them.Course unlike the mvie idiots I would use tanks.... though Nids would be hellacious arachnids.

The 'nids would so eat the movie arachnids for breakfast. Not so sure about the book ones, because we never really got an honest quantification of their capacities, beyond the fact that they did actually have weaponry and it could carve through MI armor like a hot knife through butter.

The regiment part is up to NL. If it's allowed, hey, lets bring it in. And yeah, I'll edit it to be less uber.

Actually there is one extra transport your not counting...
The Crone is a fully equiped hospital ship, with a full compliment of sisters militant and hospitaller.

Oh, we're loading every available ship to the gills with troops. These are Imperial sardine cans.

Uh, Typh, we're sitting on the archaeotech here on Adraxis. Nobody's mentioned any caches over on Cyrus Gamma.
Unless they boosted some out from under us while all hell was breaking out all over...
(Oh shit. If NL didn't already have that idea, he does now...)

Why are you worried about archeotech when we all know that he can stick a necron tomb anywhere.
"Hey Bob, guess what I just found in the underhive? I think it must date from the Dark Age of Technology. Let's open it up and get rich!"

You're right. This is 40K, and NL has any number of means by which to bend us over and Wong us long and hard.
Might as well not worry about it. Shall be begin doing the launching scenes, then?

Off topic: Given that Shep loves America's nuclear arsenal like they were his children does that mean:
1) That the American military is Shep's baby sitter of choice?
2) Given Shep's enthusiasm for nukey, nukey, nukey does that mean that Shep wants his children to grow up to be suicide bombers?

Better therapists than I have tried to get to the root of Shep's mindset. The results have inevitably been SUCK IT DOWN LAMBS! SACK BULGER! GO SEAHAWKS!
Sorry, watching the game while posting.
As I was saying... what was I saying?

Well, I am off for the rest of the day. A sadistic DMs job is never done. I must horribly torture, mutilate, and . . . . uh, I mean run an entertaining session for my players.
