We are leaving our government records behind, hell, even the personal journals of the council, not their spellbook... but you will find absolutly nothing. Unless you want to fabricate it...
Already got that underway.

And... they will be finding that.. where now?
In the base.
If anyone ever actually grows the balls to go into a base with more than just a few explosives which make it even harder for them to penetrate, as they explode at the first layer of defense.

Oh, so you're psychic now? No, you're just trying to justify this to make yourself look good.
That is why proving a negative is impossible.
You just don't get it. Showing an immediate willingness to comply is a STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. You would have to work to regain our trust, this is true, but you would still be around to prove that you meant well and that there was no unholy alliance. Admitting to your gross negligence and allowing inspectors immediately would have been major points in your favor.
I am getting extremely fucking tired of you and your buddies telling me what I would do with your metagaming viewpoints. Everything you and Rogue 9 have said today on the matter is such utter nonsense it makes me want to bang my head against the wall to make me forget ever having read it.
Though, the point is a moot one.
Not really, it's still an active subject, and I would like to get this cleared up before you come back with another power and start this whole damn cycle again.

well, I know my empire will be viewed... however your various powers want to view it. Nothing I can say on the subject. I am simply sayng... the burden of proof we had to defend ourselves was impossible.
We will be viewed as criminals however this turns out. Hell, accusations like that really do stick like shit...

Hey, look, I am just saying tht that argument could have been made. Not that it would have been. If the nations/people want to believe I am in colussion with mechanoids... they will rationalize it. It is how things work.

Alyrium Denryle wrote:actually, the Krell demanded all information we had, including the location of their base. They demanded information we simply didnt have.

Some of the information they demanded you didn't have, so you used that to justify giving them nothing? Oh, that's brilliant.
Let's review.
"If we were allied with them we would turn over said information. Purely out of a sense of slef-preservation. Unfortunatly, we are the victims of an elaborate ploy by them to essentially earscrew us. So no information will be forthcoming. Again, had we been allied with them, it would have been declared.
Do what you all will to us, we are innocent of any crime and the afterlife will reflect that."
"Shields up"
I don't even know where to begin on this one. If you were allied with them, you would turn over all your information you had on them, but because you're not allied, you won't. What the hell is that supposed to mean? If you were guilty, you'd tell us what you know, but because you are telling us you're not guilty, you won't say a damn thing?
Yeah, that's a compelling argument.
On top of that, you claim total innocence from any crime, with the Mechanoid base in plain sight. That's a bald-faced lie if I ever heard one.
And we're supposed to believe, because you're such "honest" people, that you're innocent? Come on now.

We sent them the files and all information we had on the subject. That was not enough, and they opened fire.
Though, it really again, cannot be fixed at this point. The monocorans wanted inspectors, we allowed THEM in because we trust their troops.
The Monocorans were in our space at the time, and we even allowed them to board our ships. Or would have, had the krell not opened fire on the fleet.

Once again, you fail to understand the point. It was not so much that we wanted proof of your innocence, but rather compliance. Willingness to accept that you had done wrong and were willing to make amends. You refused guilt of any wrongdoing and refused to share any information.
Had you worked with us, that alone would have been a sign that you were most likely being set up, and that you were still on our side.
We will be viewed as criminals however this turns out. Hell, accusations like that really do stick like shit...
Again, your actions have made them stick like shit. You have nobody to blame but yourself for this one.

No, not really. Once again, Criminal Neglegence was pretty obvious, but Treason against Sentience was up in the air. You are merely confirming your guilt through your actions, even if it's not really true.
Had you complied and stuck around, sure, you wouldn't be in a good position, but we wouldn't have OMGWTF PWNED you. Your fleet would still be relatively intact, and you'd have to regain the trust of the galaxy again. It was a tough position, sure, but not an impossible one if you played your cards right.

Um, no. You. Denied. All. Information. That was your post, word for word, following the Krell's demands. You denied them all information and basically said you would fight to the death until AFTER they had already moved into attack position. That was a mistake. The other mistake was sending a pittance of information in the first place. You were the first race to make contact with the machines, you've had a machine base inside your borders for the last, what, month and a half?
Once again, had you stood your ships down, and allowed the Krell (who were on the Monacoran payroll at the time) access to your data directly, this could have been avoided.
Though, it really again, cannot be fixed at this point. The monocorans wanted inspectors, we allowed THEM in because we trust their troops.
I still haven't seen a single Monacoran inspector on the ground yet.

Krell opened fire because you did not comply. Your own post damns you quite clearly.

Well I guess that depends on how they are played.

No genocide... no hostile takeovers of other worlds... very down to earth(well... they arboreal and clliff dweling, and are capable of gliding... but that is beside the point)
Very Sentient Rights oriented...
Government exists to serve and protect the people etc etc etc

The setup doesn't matter as much as how they are played. We'll see how it goes.

Let's see...Covenant of God makes one, Jardanians would have made two, but they're back in action, so Krynor makes two instead. So, three is the current tally.

Tycho, it would greatly improve things if you actually read what had transpired.

Nitram, how exactly did you find Halo? It's isolated, its location has never been revealed to the other powers (except the Krynor Empire, and that was top secret), and the only ships that move in and out of it are military ships, which run cloaked and take numerous zig-zagging routes out and into the system.

Krynor was the Gou'ald, right?
Stole one of their warships.

But like I said, it was Top Secret (tm). No run of the mill Goa'uld warship would have that kind of data.
