Of course. Especially since my evil plan part 1. is already in motion hahaha.
 Unless part 1a of that evil plan is "Begin Game" or "Be Rid of SeonSai," I don't see how that could be. And honestly, I don't see why you'd even bother including the former and I don't know what your motivation for the latter could really be.

Neither of those two. You think small, trog-door.

Suffice it to say, it will be a shock.

Ok, fine, you're carrying out evil plots before we've even begun. If you say so...

Hey, wait, you're the UFP. What are you doing making evil plots?

Haven't you heard. Data's dead.

Anyway good luck to you Ur-Quan Kzer-Za. I'll be bringing my bug whacker so watch out .

It's been 35 minutes, but I'll give another ten, since Colonial Admiral has been fairly active and it would be a shame to have the game without him. Hopefully he'll send me a corrected .emp without the research points spent in the next 10 minutes.

Why don't you just make an empire for him Tuxedo.

I'm sure it doesn't really matter, as long as the empires are added in the right order. And now there's a change password option, so later on he could change it up if there's conflict of interest. Could just make a standard random empire, and if he sucks we could mark him dead. Since he's been so active I think he'll take playing anything than nothing, especially if you make him a good empire.

Luckily, his empire was unpassworded, so I just raised the tech level, added him, deleting all the techs, and then set back to none. Also had to do this with Neph's .emp, which had all techs taken *wags fickle finger of shame*, but luckily hers was also unprotected. It shames me to admit that I had to do this with my own empire as well, although that was because I used it in a singleplayer game and it saved the changes I had made to the file even though I didn't ask it to or want it to.

And we're off! First turn should be available now.

Once again, you can get the custom ship sets here. Also, for the Canada flag to be properly displayed, you'll need to either rename the Canada_FlagSet.bmp file to Canada_Flag_Set.bmp or simply download this fixed version. Both files should be unzipped into your 'SEV/GameTypes/Balance Mod 1.05+/Empires' folder.

Turns will be processed every two days at approximately 9 PM PDT. Please don't send turns any later than 8:30, or it might not be included. Treat me just like you would treat PBW's automatic turn processor. This is especially important for the first turn, since anyone who misses it will miss out on 100,000 research points and will basically be screwed.

Everyone should make sure to select the option where the AI will not take a turn for you if you miss it. The AI can screw you over worse than any opponent in just one turn. Expect all your fleets to be broken up and sent one-by-one against your enemies' fortified warp points and slaughtered, all your designs obsoleted and replaced with inept ones, and expect all your treaties to be broken, resetting trade percentage to zero. You've been warned. :)

First turn and there is a nice rock planet with an oxygen atmosphere in easy reach of my home worlds. I wonder whom I'm gonna find first. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with my spot. Just to be clear we send it to you or PBW's service? I sent it to both to be absolutely sure my turn was received.

Wow, are we in a paradise galaxy or did I just get really lucky? My home systems are loaded with good planets to colonize. :D

Just like before eh.

Meanwhile, saying my start is bad is an understatement. But I can't have it the worst, at least I have some breathers. I bet some people don't have any breathers at all, out of 14 someone's got to have a total shit place.

Covenant's got an awesome world setup, so the scoundrel tells me.

BTW, why are planets that are non-native to me showing green and red icons? I thought those don't appear until after you research gas giant colonization, etc... if you can't land on them to start?

I'm seeing something like 3 greens and 5 reds to start with. Not half bad. I notice there's a system named Capella. I guess I'll have to go heavy on the research if I'm ever going to blow that up. I don't think I've played with warp points anywhere before, should be a nice change of pace. I got a funny spread on my starting systems though, securing my borders is gonna be damn near impossible before turn 20 or so.

Neph, are you sure you're seeing more than one planet type colonizable?

Yes, truly a wonder of nature. I didn't think such perfection existed in nature, but it does. I'm sure whatever kind of abberant species USED to live here loved it, but we Hiigarans prefer something a little more habitable.

Honestly, I couldn't have possibly imagined my start location would be this commandingly awful. No greens whatsoever, a tiny handful of reds, and none of my systems are adjacent so I'm flung all over the place. With my luck, I'll be ringed by black holes again, and lose my first wave.

Seriously though, this is amazingly awful! A few of these worlds aren't even pulling their resources out of the 20's and 30's! Death to the Random World Generator! WTF is this shit?

Just promise the Capellan Confederation to your wife and crush it between two space empires! Political marriage for the win!

EDIT: Well, fuck. Arthur, did you need my empire password from me to make sure the right portrait was chosen? I ended up with the Hierarchy portrait.

Turn downloaded and uploaded.

I haven't downloaded everyone's shipsets yet -- that shouldn't be a problem until we meet up, should it? I'm on a dialup modem, and my all-night attempt at a download for that 70 mb file ended in an unexpected power outage around 1 am this morning. I'll try again tonight.

My starting position is pretty much average, for an Ice kit. A few red dots, most of which are large or huge with good resource capacity. I'll definitely be expanding early, though.

Fuck, 1 Green, 4 (small) reds and I'm spread over 3 systems, one of which is at least 4 jumps from the other two (which aren't next to each other anyway).

Diplomacy is clearly going to be critical to survival.

Ha ha, actually I meant blow up as in make the star go supernova. FreeSpace reference. I had to look up the Confederation. All I know of Battletech I learned from Anatomy of a War and related fanfic.

Luke: 4 jumps? How can you be sure?

You said it "Luke." But I expected this. Even if I had a great starting place, if I pissed off enough people they would butcher me.

You're the Davion, right? This is what I get, so the problem must be on your end.

I've got 1 green and a few reds. Will have to push out and explore more systems early.

Eight reds and two greens, and except for two of the reds, all of them are rich in at least one resource.

Then again, as you've said I've gotten lucky like this before, but my win:lose ratio is hardly stellar.

Because I can 'see' 3 unexplored systems between 2 of mine.
