Well, Saddamistan is pretty quiet unless something stirrs up its beehive.

As for the warlords, the situation is really tenuous and anything that changes the power of balance by a significant margin will probably just end up causing more shit.

I think we should cause more shit in order to stop more shit from happening.

Saddam is peaceful for now, but what happens when he lashes out on somebody next time. Do we simply let it slide? Or will we actually agree on a course of action.

As it happens, he is a ridiculously killy nation. A mega-nation, an Imperium, a literal sleeping giant. The only ones that can match him is Shepnukistan and, god forbid, the Bear Republic. And, horribly, we're all between those mad-houses!

I am not saying that we attack him or anything. I don't feel like committing suicide is a good thing. :D

Still some sort of diplomacy must be established with The Great Saddam.

Its Saddam The Great, well that’s the acceptable short version of the name and title anyway, not The Great Saddam; you sure aren't going to make any progress sending mislabeled communications like that.

I feel your pain. I get "Republic of Shinra" and "Shinran" all the time. Neither of those are correct.

And speaking of mislabeled communications, Mr Bean it was Coyote who suggested the destickying, not me.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

Right, thanks for correcting me since I'm been pming you like that for awhile now, oh well time to fire some diplomats into the sun for their failure.

Before the rest of you get too excited, my Chief of Staff has been instructed to hold the spotlight on Bean for a bit.

One of the purposes behind this conference is to get a level of transparency regarding our various positions towards Terra Libertia. So we're either going to get that now, or hold the spotlight on the UKB so they'll have to make some kind of position known.

A position which, rest assured, the Shinra Republic at least will have a keen interest in.

You see Bean, this is what happens when you go and make secret dealings with the principles behind a crisis, and then attend an international conference concerning that crisis and those entities involved. Those you kept the secrets from will naturally want some answers. And this is a perfect forum to go after you for those answers.

Indeed. I believe it's time for Bean to divulge some classified information.

I must say i am enjoying this game a lot more than i thought i would. I guess being a politician kinda gets to you. :)

International agrements! bah! Whenever you try to work stuff out someone will just say no!

I'm tired. I should go isolationist, trading but remaining out of the international arena.

I just wanted to throw a wrench in the ICTR to see how it worked out and make things more interesting this way. Honestly, STGODs die unless there is conflict and insanity: if we all just stand off against each other, well, so much for this game.

Due to the flow of the game, me and Yenchin didn't have a chance to carry out this conversation in real time. So we're doing it over PM and we'll post a transcript later.

Decided to take a working vacation this time.

so whose up for spending time working out a peace treaty between the warlords, in Charles Foster Kane's Xanadu castle? I have the baths/pools in the Posidin Room, fully heated.
