"I am again sorry, my friend," he bowed to Malkamar. "I will refrain from this. And what, exactly, do you mean by 'groupies'?"

"I think he was refering to the weretiger that had many more weretiger minions... he just so happened to try to free the slaves at the same time we did"

"Ah," he sighed. "A pity I missed that fight. Could've been fun. He turned to Tash. "Don't you think, too?" He grunted something. "I'm sure you'll get something to fight against soon. Don't worry," he chuckled.
"And where did this weretiger guy go to?"

Meanwhile, back at the meeting place....

The two soldiers rush forward, axes scything around in a blurred dance. A pair of weretigers leaps for them, but their heads suddenly fly off their bodies in an instant. The two soldiers laugh as they continue to advance, slicing apart weretigers left and right, gore and blood slickening the floor beneath their feet. Suddenly, they arrive right at your side, axes poised to strike.

(bloody hell...I lose the net for one night and it all races forward)

Coaan watched the prisoner absently as he stood in thought, folding his arms over the top of one another. He drew a slight face at the lingering pain and reached up with a hand to rest on his rigid shoulder and roll carefully. He had remained silent thus far and allowed the others to perform the interrogation.

"Some people do not know when to hold their tongue.."

Quietly, he strod to the prisoner to crouch down before her to within a whispering range and looked down at the mage with a prevalant feeling of calm throughout him

"Now...Mage...you will tell this gathering what they wish to know...or you will learn what it is to be devoured slowly over the course of a year by insects and other small 'pests'. Consider what it would feel like to be eaten alive slowly. Your fate is not terribly far from that if you do not speak."

Coaan rose to his feet and glanced over to his companions for a moment, returning to his silent pose to listen to their wording

"Well, it is getting late. I suggest that we rest for the night, and commence the interrogation in the wee hours of the morning"

++They made TWENTY intimidate checks!? I'd REALLY like to know how that worked, and how they made 4 or 5 attacks in one round and still had time to move.++

I scream "RUN!" morph to full-tiger form and do a full action move. I expect all my followers to do the same.

(Quite possibly. Although with 3rd edition...there is a vast gap in power between different levels..5 level 2's would get gubbed by two level 5's ...and so on...at say, level 18. A fighter would have five attacks...minimum...it depends how their set up)

Jax strolled in through the city gates. He'd gotten a letter from his brother saying that he and he fuzzy cronies wanted help with somthing, and it's not like he and his thralls had anything better to do.

Gaheris jogged out onto the courtyard. Sure enough, there was Percival and sitting next to him was a bronze dragon as big as the griffon himself. The dragon was leering at the imprisoned wizardess, her teeth bared. The rest of the party was standing around the prisoner. Abbey guards were discreetly standing nearby, watching. Gaheris walked up to them and indicated the prisoner. "Has she talked?"

The individual in ancient-looking armor shrugged. "She promised us the Mage's Guild is going to come around and attempt to kill us, then ressurect us, then kill us again, and so on ad infinium. I feel glad I'm not from this Plane, getting restored just to die again is painful, I'm told." The Shadovar intoned.

"The interesting thing is, both us us have faced far worse than a mage guild*has a flashback toe the time of troubles... has another flashback to the Zhents tnd the cult of the dragon chasing him... and has a third consequitive flashback to his apprenticeship*"

Astinius shivers for what seems like 3 seconds before regaining his composure.

"A mage guild is nothing compared to the wild magic zones during the time of troubles.. she was still a child for that. A mage guild is nothing next to being hounded for your spellfire... A mage guild doesnt hold a candle to what my master and life in general has done to me."

Astinius then laughs at even the suggestion that a group of human mages could have a chance at killing him, when the gods themselves have failed.

"Has she, now? We'll see about that." Gaheris drew his sword and took a step closer. "Take off the gag." [I'll just assume someone does so.] The gag off, Gaheris came up to the wizardess so that he was towering over her as she sat manacled on the ground. "I presume that you know where we are and exactly what this place is by now, so I'll spare the introductions. Since you were present at the arena and fighting to keep the slaves from being free as any sapient being has a right to be, we can only assume that you are a slaver and probably a murderer or accessory to murder. Justice could require your head for that." He gently lowered the tip of his sword and tipped up her chin so that she looked into his face. The black circles of his goggles of night made him look more intimidating, he had found, so he had put them on for this occasion. "If you will not talk," he intoned in a gentle voice, almost like a parent reproving a child, "we have no practical use for you and your presence is dangerous to us. You must realize this. You are a wizard; you're far, far more intelligent than I. If I can figure out what that combination of factors means then surely it is not beyond your grasp."

He paused. "But if you talk, we do have a use for you," he continued in his gentle voice. "You will not be killed if you tell us what we wish to know. Do you talk, or do you not?" Gaheris's voice suddenly became pointed and steely. "The choice is yours." He withdrew his sword from beneath her chin and awaited her reply, glaring at her from behind his blackened lenses, cloak sweeping around him.

(Rolled a natural 17 on the check. With my +15 Intimidate modifier, this brings it to 32. Some DMs will assign RP bonuses for a good show of intimidation, so keep that in mind. She opposes with 1d20 + character level + Wisdom bonus, if any.)

I just rolled it for her by deriving the best approximation of her abilities.

she couldnt be over level 18.. and I dont think she has more than 16 wisdom...

I rolled a 10.

Best case scenario for her, she gets a 31... she fails, and cracks.

I heard that. :P
You can do non-combat checks yourselves, but if it involves some sort of information gathering, etc, I'll reply to the check.
Ok, now on to lazerus...

The guards stop one foot in front of you, axes held at the ready. "Come with us, fool, or we'll cleave you from head to groin." He licks his lips hungrily.

The woman seems unfazed by your flashy show, and she merely smiles.
"You think a little swoop of the cloak and some dark eyes will scare me? I doubt it. You will get nothing out of me."
