Heh, wow.

Just went walking through this thread and I am in complete awe
I was pondering what I would want to see, if I had a request, and I saw zaia's castle, and knew instantly.
Im running a dnd game, and they just met the emperor. The throne room is described as follows.
Each character is brought to the main chamber by a pit fiend/balrog type devil. The chamber is some 200 feet high and 300 feet long, with a long series of massive pillars holding up the ceiling. At infrequent intervals, standing in front of the pillars, are massive devils, 14 feet high, the emperor's personal shock troops. At the far end of the chamber are the 5 princes, standing some 50 feet away from the throne, and their cohorts and henchmen are 20 feet behind them, each in their own little formation. They are all specialists, and their gear is classic adventurer. The ceiling is sistine chapel esque, but instead of god, it glorifies the emperor. On the walls on the right are tapestries and banners, describing the rise of the new regime.
The princes themselves are werewolves in hybrid form, wearing formal regalia (think high ranking secret police officers, kgb fur hats and whatnot). The throne itself takes up almost 100 feet of the far wall, being a huge bronze face radiating heat. Unbeknownst to the characters, the face is a real face, that of a hellfire engine, and the body extends outside of the chamber, moving only in times of a final stand against a siege. The tiles in front of it have run from the heat, and the engine has the capability to scorch either individual people in the room or the entire chamber. To the left of the head is the pit fiend that brought them in, and to the right is the emperors advisor. Hes a harvester of souls, and looks like a used cars salesman. "would you like to make a deal?" The emperor himself sits in a throne above the bronze face, being a 10 foot tall dire werewolf in hybrid form, with a great sword and classic druid/devil worshipper regalia. he owns dragonplate, but might not have it in this scene.
To the left, beyond the pillars, is an open wall, where the people can look across the citadel. Directly below them are the Pits, where the ashes of bodies are dumped, as are people who are in their states of dying. Crucified, in chains, on stakes, etc. They are contained in a massive wall, and beyond that wall, armies train inside a massive courtyard. This, too, is contained by a wall. In the air, devils (erinyes) fly, and there are the defenses a high magic zone could create - blacked out areas, search lights, gouts of flame, et al.
For background, this city has had 3 major seiges in the last 50 years, and has become rather paranoid. secret police werewolves are the main highlights, and elves are exterminated.
I think that about covers it. The party is composed of 2 angels, a kobold, one of the princes, and some human adventurers.
Yeah

Long post, but I was inspired when I described this place to the gaming group, and I think you might enjoy at least pondering the sketch.
