G'night Typh.

Hey IO, you play this one out already, or are you cranking this out off the top of your head?

Either way, you're doing a fine job so far.

I've been planning it since NL dropped the news. Some changes as I play a little more Gothic and with the aftermath of our previous battle. And of course, YB being a nice wild card.

I've been actually reading through the early parts of this thread, and I stumbled across this bit, when we were all still on the Ramiles, most of our characters hadn't even met, and NL was down with some form of brief not-wellness...

Oh, look! An STC! We'll be rich!
I must say, we're quite a witty lot.

Well it was in character, but I doubt those shuttles really can do much...

Every bit helps. Besides, those Infidels don't have Black Legionaires on board and your shuttles have adeptus sororitas.

I'm going to leave things like that for a bit. Petro's handling the boarding of the Divine Retribution and I'll check in in the morning for more battle updates and reactions to everyone's plans and counter attacks.

Okay, just wondering when the Retribution is getting boarded? So far it's the Sword that just got introduced to the chaos nasties... and so far as I recall, most of our heroes are over on the Retribution.

Ah well, we can clear it up tomorrow. Gotta rack out myself.

Well the assult force is actually sisters penetant, repenta, and sword of the emporer troops.

The Thunderhawks landed on the Retribution's hull, not the Sword. The Sword got boarding torpedoes.. No mention of their capabilities, because that's up to you.

Aha! Tired and not tracking well.

I shall gin up some evil, yes sir. It will be glorious. It will be heinous. It will be most painful indeed.

Gee, a strike force from a fleet that includes the Harbringer of Agony I wonder who will be leading that assault...

Hey can you also handle the sister's boarding actions, they have some of the swords zealots too, and I delibweratly left it uncertain what ship they sent their boarding parties against.

Aaactually, I invented the name a few weeks ago, as seen here. So nyah.

BTW, I've literally been minus a connection for weeks and I'm a lazy bastard at heart, so I need bullet points on what's been going on.

Can do, Yo-Bear.

IO, we have some PMage to do.

Any way, Varian's carrying an old blessed power sword and a force rod (think Eisenhorn's staff but not the same weight class).

Gix is also carrying a force rod. So was that punk the PsyKing. We've got plenty of experience with those suckers.

Yo Pcm, you didn't name the captain. That's why I had to name him for the battle. Nice try. :P

Pcm-

The Necromunda-style hive world Cyrus Gamma has fallen to a chaotic revolution. It's the key to the whole sub-sector, with a population in the hundreds of billions. If we lose it, we could lose everything. If we take it back, and it's not wholly infested, we can use it as a regiment factory for the rest of the sub.

So we have been dispatched to take it back, with our collection of special ops units, couple of IG regiments, and a raft of PDF troopers.

But we can't put the boots on the ground to match the heretics man for man, so the current plan is to lure them into massing against our forces, and then to drop a rock on 'em from orbit.

Additionally, Gix, Adivan, Pater and company are on the Divine Retribution, for which I will be running the boarding action.

Varian(Stormbringer), Lena, Nathan and Prius are on the Sword, for which IO will be running the boarding action.

See how neatly it all fits together?

Oh yeah, and we're facing the Despoiler's personal battle barge.

Enjoy!

Lillith will be where ever her boss is, and she's now got legion's helm which is basically shielding the rest of you from her blank-ness unless she removes it.

Cool. It really sucks to be tossing cultists around with the power of our mind, only to have Lillith step in, give her Xena war cry, and have everything just... stop... suddenly.

Yep. Hung around the house and wre entertained by Double Trouble and then out to a Malaysian restraunt. Mom opened her presents just before we left (I got her "The End of Faith" by Sam Harris).

Cool.

If you scroll up a bit in the IC thread, you'll see that Severa's position just got raked by some heavy firepower. Feel free to parcel out some damage.
