That's Petro's bag, but I can tell you it won't be pretty.

Tacticus- Reports indicate that they're 'just' Traitor Marines.

Enjoy!

Did you note how Adivan singlehandedly waxed an Obliterator? Who loves ya, buddy?

Yep, I noticed. Very nice. Post coming up.

Uh, IO, they are in the vicinity of the ship's armaments storage... might not be such a good idea to unleash all that long-range hell in this area...

The munitions storage has strong walls. And notice the lack of krak grenades. Just a few hellguns, one plasma gun, and Severa's plasma pistol.
Not that bad.

Quick question: How effective would a standard assault cannon be vs. Marine power armour? Would it just annoy them? Crack the armour with sustained fire? Pulverise them? What?

They'll feel it. Sustained fire will crack the armour.

Second question: How fast does a lascannon fire?

Slowly. Most man portable ones have to be reloaded after each shot according to the Inquisitor skirmish game.

I noticed Tacticus uparmoured the traitor with a displacer field. Still doesn't counter the advantages of fighter Adivan in the enginarium.

Your call as to how badly Severa's wounded, IO. But she did get a bit punctured.

No, that was Mekhatan (the alien mercenary/bounty hunter that joined Adivan's retinue a while ago).

I have a Bolo fic floating around in my head that I'll probably never write, Yo-Bear.

Basic premise is that a Bolo loses his commander on his very first mission, to a bioweapons attack. His commander came in infected, and died in the command center.

So ever since then he's been especially devout about protecting his commanders, and is proud of his record of not losing another one. So then he's on his final assignment, a planetary garrison gig. His commander is a fresh-faced buck, and a real Bolo fanboy who always dreamed of commanding one. They forge a friendship of sorts, blah blah blah.

Long story short, some aliens menace or another attacks the planet, while his commander is out skiing. So planetary command is giving him orders, and his commander is cut off and trapped in a blizzard or similarly perilous situation. He can't directly do anything for him because he has a righteous menace to kick ass on, but he can't just leave him sit. So he covertly hijacks control of the city's automated streetsweepers and other vehicles and sends them in to rescue his commander.

Always thought it'd make a decent story.

so given It's basically using it's meltas to propell it's self.. at increasing impulse, then reverse burn as it approches the chaos ship...

oh course that's going to take a little more brain power then any of your average machine spirit displays...

then again, Fawkes isn't an asimov model. anyways, I mean he's named after the guy who tried to blow up parliment...
