Same for me, too. I might get around to it, but my weekend is looking busy (stupid holidays, where people want you to do stuff...curse you, social life!). So if I don't have anything by Monday, just assume I said yes to trade pacts and stuff.

I'll write the system reentry and then I'll leave the rest to you.
My ambassador is arriving on the ISDII Stormfront and is bringing the Red Guard with Yalsamiris with him at all times.
EDIT:
Also, a small request - could everyone participating in this please write the names of major characters in the OOB?

Alright. Though I hope they don't get intimidated by my own Guards.

I have started adding names into the OOB. May add more as time goes on.

Praji served as aide-de-camp to Vader.
EDIT: Force detection devices? WTF? What basis do they have in canon?

Though I don't think that would work as some datapad just sitting there with nobody noticing.
Also, from
here:
Fortunately for the remaining Jedi of the galaxy, force-detectors were far from perfect. They could only be used to scan a single creature at a time, had a range of mere centimeters, and were not always accurate.

Yeah, there is no way that would work, especially as it requires paddles to be placed between the subject in question.
It certainly would not be able of scanning a whole room filled with ambassadors, at least not without initiating physical contact with each and everyone.

A low resolution one at best and possible false readings. Well, I guess one retcon I could write in was that the force detector was short ranged and was busying building data as my ambassador talked to various people or causally walked by. Perhaps he deliberately shook everyone's hand?
Although I would conjecture that if someone could work a system to detect midichlorians in blood, it might be possible to do a remote sensing application... (evidence for midichlorian detectors was shown in Episode I)

So...your ambassador conveniently told people to stand still as he placed paddles between their bodies?
The modus operandi seems to be that it requires the subject to be placed between to chrystal paddles. Not what we have here. And there is no way that can be modified into a datapad as that would have made it impossible for any jedi to hide since any stormtrooper would have had such a datapad with him.

One is a microscopic analysis with a test sample, the other...is not.

Well, if the crystal paddle were in the gloves, why not? He would use his hands and gesture about. No one would notice if the gloves were thicker than normal.
But if there's too much objections then fine. I will rewrite it. BUt I will research it later.

Thanas, Am I correct in assuming we have our selves a trade pact?
Fin, do you want to write up the arrival of your Emperor to Koros Major? I can take it from there.
We need more information on this force detection device.
P.S. I have some people listed in my OOB, I will add more soon.
P.P.S. I'm a bit constrained with time...this weekend. So expect more from me on Monday.

I will write up the arrival later.
As for the Force detection device, I have removed it. I will think of a way to integrate it though I see it being disguised as a pair of gloves. The damn crystal glows near force users, but there's no mention about whether the user has to emit the aura effectively, and what happens if the user suppresses it? No idea.

Do I take that Dark Troopers follow the standard 1/3 upkeep rules?

In principle, but I think they would count as elite units as well, which gives them a +3 point to maintenance and a +5 cost to produce penalty.

Well, I have no objections. So on top of 20/3, count in +3 to maintenance, and it would be 25 points production?

Exactly, but I think they only cost (as heavy infantry) 6 to raise, so a +5/+3 penalty would bring that one up to 11 in prod. costs and 7 to maintain.
Also, my emessary has arrived in dramatic fashion. I'll leave the rest of his arrival to you until it comes to the proposals.

Well, the list states 20 points for a company of 100. That suits me. I intend to field a few.
BTW, would the mods object that all my space stations and shipyards are found within that ring around Kuat? Otherwise, that picture of Kuat would be rather odd...

Oh, darktroopers as in force users. Sorry, I thought you meant the stormtrooper variant. In that case, I take everything back and claim the opposite.
(meaning, yeah 20 to raise, 7 to maintain).
Oh, and I wouldn't raise so many of them...the emperor himself didn't have more than a few companies, so you might not want to raise more than a few hundred in total...

Were they really force users? Wiki says so, but that is largely on the account of Dark Empire II. In technicality, non-Force Users could use the Dark Trooper phase III armor. The first such armor was piloted by the General in charge of the project.
Not to mention, the scarcity of force users.

I think we are talking about different darktroopers here. I am talking about the cadre of black-clad, dark-side powered stormtroopers from Dark Empire II.
You are talking about the droids and the droids suits. Different things entirely.

I think we should state that, for simplicity, "Dark Trooper" in this game refers to the uber-Stormtrooper guys from Kyle Katarn's story.
Other potential Elite Unites that could be fielded would be Crimson Guards, for example. Were they supposed to have minor Force powers? If so they'd be "Apprentice" level with limited or no ability to raise to Knight or Master.
Would Mandalorian troopers be considered Elite units as a whole? There were never too many of them, from what I recall, and while tough they were never able to totally challenge any of the established empires & governments after their big smackdown in the Mandalorian Wars of pre-KOTOR era.

Not quite. Phase III Dark Troopers were meant to be manned.

Notice the "droid suits" in my part?
And yeah, Coyote is right. Dark trooper should only refer to the Kyle Katarn thingies.

Ah.. .true.
Anyhow, is it fine that I could consolidate all my defences and shipyards into that single ring? With room for upgrading and expansion?

You mean...leave all your other planets undefended? Wouldn't that be a bit of a monumental mistake to make?
BTW, the standard defence package cannot be moved. And Rothana and Gyndine were known for their industry, so maybe they should have some shipyards at last.
What do you mean by expansion? Constructing bigger shipyards and such? No problem with that, but you are gambling all your eggs in one (awfully big) basket. Of course, nobody is going to invade you right from the start, but it wouldn't make much sense IMO.
*************
That said, I don't have any problem with it as long as it does not approach ridiculous levels (e.g. Kuat having 200 defence platforms from the start whereas Rothana has none).
