She pulls you back into a closet, and strips down enticingly. "Well bad boy...you know what to do." she says sweetly.
Cue gratitious sex scene.

"Hey look, a shumullie!' he slurs, tipping over onto a table. 'You get out unless you got me my dwugs *hiccup*. Hey, come here purty ladyy...' he reaches out to a passing waitress clumsily, and she scoffs as he falls down to the floor, unconcious.
"Hm, that was...interesting," he said as he tried not to get hit by the guy falling down.

Suddenly, you all hear a scream, and a man falls off a balcony on the far wall, a knife in his back, and he smashes a table apart as he falls. 'Poor poor poor poor man...' slurs a drunken woman to Dahaks side. 'He mustve pissed off the owner..hehe...'

Turning towards the woman.
"The owner? Bad tempered, ey?"

Where was Malkamar? Keeping an eye on Torma and trying not to get too carried away. But it was hard. It was a party. Sure, Astinius was a prude to the power of infinity, but he hadn't been to a proper party in.. Ugh. A mortal human's lifetime or more. It was hard to just ignore the goings on.
The Netherese helped himself to another goblet of wine, gratuitous mis-use of his Mage Hand powers keeping him entertained while keeping an eye on the dragon-girl. And keeping ears open. "If you hear anything about drugs, little one, you tell me, and we follow."

((since no one else thought of it, I'll simply declare that since a 6-yr-old Elvish-looking child prolly wouldn't be allowed in, she's disquised as a young male Halfling))
Malkamar wrote:"If you hear anything about drugs, little one, you tell me, and we follow."
There's lots of people talking about a shipment coming in, Malkamar...
Torma answered, holding her third glass of wine. Malkamar had handed the first glass to her whilst flirting with the waitress, and Torma found she enjoyed the grape-like taste and the odd kick to it. Mama and Papa never told her about this stuff! Still, her keen senses were uneffected as yet (gotta love High CON) and she was able to overhear a lot of talk.
Malkamar? What's 'carnal fun'? (Lazerus) is going to the back room to have some....

"Yes, my small companion, but where is the shipment coming in is the question we must answer.. It's undoutably important." Malkamar pointed out. At the question, he smiled. "What I would do taking part in if I wasn't helping you listen. I'll explain when you're closer to mating age."

Oh...............
Tormantineth thinks about this for a while, before pouting But that will be AGES from now!
Heaving a huge sigh, she grabs a fourth glass of wine and starts to leave the table. I need to go for a walk....
She starts walking vaguely towards Astinius, spying on conversations as she walks.
((As she's walking, she has a Listen +20, Gather Information +6, and Spot +20. Also, as a Halfling, she might not be noticed by most people.))

Gaheris worked the crowd, looking for information and especially keeping an eye out for any of his old street contacts -- if he could recognize them after all these years.

Caoimhin looked around, lifting a glass of fine wine as he wandered around. Looking for the exits that are not for the general crowd....

Gaerhis sees, most coincidentally, an old noble friend that once acted as a money-lender, standing on a table and dancing spastically, singing an unfamiliar Turmish tune. 'Oy, over the Mountains we go, grab your swords and fight the horde for the Uncle, yessiree...'

++ You forget that I wasn't a lord paladin when I left Westgate.

Oh well. ++
Gaheris walked up to the man. "Hello, Kaele. Been a long time since you let me have the scraps from your feasts and a few coins on cold nights, hasn't it?"

The sun was beginning to set and the road leading to westgate was looking ever darker. The light dimmed as night approached but still Erhart pushed on, gently urging Thunder, his massive warmount towards the city. Carrying the towering shield with his left arm and the lance leisurely held with the other, He rode down at a slow pace as he approached an old cabin where he was to meet up with his Harper contact. The Cabin looked as if it had seen better days, parts of the wood rotting or having since decayed along time ago. The door hung loosely on it's hinges and a scent of stale air loomed near the doorway. Carefully he drew Thunder to a halt and looked around, shaking his head when it was found to be deserted.
"Late...why does that not surprise me?"
He sighed and leaned back in the saddle to wait.

The man pauses, and rubs his mustache. "The nine hells! Gaheris? What in the name of Kelemvor's damned are you doing back here?" He jumps off the table, and draws an ornate rapier from nowhere, and slaps you playfully on the shoulder with it. "Come my friend, what's going on?" He postively beams.

"Glad to see you too. I've come a long way from that street urchin you knew so long ago." Gaheris allowed himself a wide grin. Then he got down to business and lowered his voice while pulling his friend to one side, but not to a whisper. He'd long ago learned that people paid attention to whispered conversations, while low voiced talking was usually ignored, especially in a place like this. (++That's actually true, by the way.

++) "I need information on the Night Masks. Their guild structure, how to contact their leadership, and anything big that might be going down. I can't tell you why right now, but this is very important." Gaheris did not let slip that he already heavily suspected the festhall's operator. No need to go into specifics that could draw attention too soon...

Erhart muttered after a moment and dismounted from the steed, striding over to set the lance and shield against the front wall of the cabin while he turned around to move over and draw off a gauntlet to reach out and stroke thunder's neck. Quietly he let out a sigh as Thunder snorted lightly
"I know....we'll have you out of that soon...as soon as that lad shows up. I'll say this much...he's taking his time."
Erhart nodded slightly as words formed in his mind from his charger and glanced around, He didn't enjoy waiting in such a place either...Westgate was bad enough, the stories alone had been enough to decide upon one more quest before retiring to his estates for a few months. Now he had to wait with what felt like eyes everywhere, surrounding him or was it just paranoia?
"I don't like it either...we'll be alright"

Kaele rubs his whiskers again, and sighs. "Listen, asking questions about the Night Masks tend to get people killed. You realize that only a few people actually KNOW of the Masks? All of the general populance thinks they're simply a petty thieves's guild, like in any other city. Even I don't know about their hierarchy, their cells, or their operations. Bribing doesn't get me any higher than the street gangs, and whenever I try to get an insurgent in, he ends up dead. If there's even one more failed attempt at spying by myself, I fear they will assasinate me for being too nosy. It's best if you stay out of their business." He grunts, and stands up. "Their master of coin has ears here, thats how he gets his information. You can find him on the second floor, if you wish to speak with him..."

Gaheris reached under his cloak. He quickly flipped back the left fold, revealing Tyr's holy symbol for the barest portion of a second before covering it again. He gave a half smile. "I think I'll be fine. Is that all you know? The Master of Coins is going to get a little visit, I think. If he talks, I may let him live -- assuming its not too late for that." He raised his voice a little. "You may want to go home for the night. I think you've had enough to drink already anyway." He lowered his voice a little again. "Things could get a little rough now, and you're in no condition to get out of here once that happens, I'm afraid. Best to go home while you can still walk, whether the cause is the drink or injury." He gave a wan little grin. "I wouldn't want to be responsible for harm to one who showed me so much kindness as a lad. Believe it or not, you helped shape me into who I am today, and I am grateful."

Kaele bows his head, and smiles. "Be careful, Gaheris. I wish you luck."
He claps you on the shoulder, and turns around, tossing a small coin-purse at you as he leaves. "100 platinum pieces, a parting gift. I'm leaving Westgate. Once you make yourselves more visible to the Masks, they will surely suspect that I helped you. You can find me In Calimport, should you ever require my aide once more." With that, and a flutter of his deep purple cloak, he is gone.
Dahak: You hear more rumors of a drug shipment coming into the festhall, and you can roughly determine that it will arrive at midnight.

Gaheris waved goodbye to his friend. "If ever I come your way, I will meet you and we can share stories again. Good luck and fortune be with you!" He watched the man go out the door and continued to watch for a minute to be certain that no one followed him out.
