Oh, and how the HELL did he get that plasma pistol, anyway?

simple really Nathan had it HID on himself.

Hell he SLEEPS with one under his pillow given that he IS an inquisitor and people tend to try to kill you...... What???? like Prius doesn`t have a nice surprise for whomever wants to let him meet the Emperor?

Well, yes, Prius always sleeps with a weapon in hand, but I was under the impression that Nathan was carted into the sanitarium unconscious... at the very least, if they put him under for surgery his clothing would've been removed. And definitely any weapons he would have had on his person, which are rather a no-no in a hospital, for obvious reasons.
(Though if an inquisitor demanded that his weapon stay with him or be given to him, their demand would quite likely be acceded to, of course.)

Jesus, my opinion of Nathan has dropped. Real men pull a Fehdman Kassad and kill armoured invaders with surgical tools, not guns they've smuggled into hospitals.

course I put in drew his pistol which means that someone may have given him one when he went Koo koo.......*L* I made a real mess yesterday all because I was a bit bored.....oh well.

No big deal. It's just going to result in a bunch of innocent medicae being put on the autorack. Don't lose any sleep over it.

Yeah, but Kassad is sufficiently badass to take on the Shrike in close combat, and win. Mere mortals like Nathan are a few steps below that...

BTW requests for marines has been answered sorta, amoung the guard force is a single Marine Mentor Sargent+Retainer (which last checking is either nothing or one squad)

"We have considered your request and will send you assistance."
"Whew..."
"Here is Sergeant Badassius."
"Great. And where's the rest of the company?"
"There is no company."
"Uh. Okay. So where is his squad?"
"There is no squad."
"Just... one?"
"He has a trained pet monkey... no, no, do not mock the monkey, for he is our Chapter Mascot."
"That's why you call yourselves the 'Raging Monkeys' chapter?"
"Of course. We were going to call ourselves the 'Feces Flingers', but our parent chapter stepped in and forbid it."
"Um. Um. Praise the Emperor, for we are saved."

Actually it's just a Feudal Japanese inspired Chapter, so expect the power sword to look like a Katana. The guard unit's he's leading are inspired by the Feudal Japanese Asugari (so expect a lot of lasrifes with bayonetts)

Looks like IO has called it a night, and I think I shall as well. Good night, brethren.
Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we shall all be dead.

Ah Prius. Everyone loves having serve far, far away from them.
Any opinions on my latest Memoria additions?

Well, if anybody dared give him a nickname it would probably be 'Commissar Fire Magnet'.
Too early to comment just yet on the latest one... I'd like to see how it develops further.
I have noticed the theme of each of the retinue members being somewhat dead-ended in their lives before the Inquisition came along to give them purpose, and it's a good one. Are you going to follow up with some stories that show how they bonded into the family they've become?

by Imperial Overlord
Yep. Each story ends when they meet Gix. Gix's story is not only his, but the binding thread of their collective stories. Each one of them has an effect on his life as well and that will be told in Gix's story, which will be by far the longest.
As for everyone else's stories, your life isn't usually in a good place when the Inquistion comes calling. And if it is, it is about to go down hill quickly.

Just a note: I'll be absent again, starting tommorrow and lasting five days. Assume Adivan spends the time in a coma/having new augmetics fitted/whatever will keep him out of action until I'm back.

Notey: I've still got highly erratic 'Net access. It seems that the phone line in my house is currently deactivated, so a week to turn it on, a week to 2 to get a 'net connection.. You get the idea. Hence Petro still has my chars, and I hope they get to kick some Heretic/Daemon arse. Pater's only taken out 3 Black Legionnaires and everyone has been pwning Traitor Terminators.
Extra notey: As far as character portraits go, Pater looks slightly like the Male Ventrue from VtM: Bloodlines. Slightly.
'Nother notey: At some point I want Pater to be able to tell someone about himself in another phisil... Plisis... Philostop... Discussion.

Don't feel bad. Gix has yet to own any traitor terminators either.
It looks like we'll be taking this one slow, so don't sweat it. If you want a conversation, write the start of one and then wait for the reply.
On a side note, I've started a Black Company fanfic in the fanfic section.

It just doesn't seem like the right time. Also, I don't really have time to write anything of length. Well, I do, but my laptop can't yet be 'net enabled.

*blows fingernails, rubs vest*
Prius went head to head with four termies and has the augmetics to prove it...
Okay, so that doesn't say much for his intelligence.
Anyway, is Pater hooking up with the Sword, or another ground element?

hey mentor legions follow the same principal as the Advisors the Spartans used to send, we send you just one guy whose whole job is to turn your force into mini-spartans, not true ones, just teaches you to fight like one. of course I am trying to remember the training fatality level of a "Mentored Gaurd unit." but that's usually why they don't call them a unit until after they ship out.
ok, and imagine a drill sargent that can run without sleep for a whole week leading training....

wierd someone aimed me while I was rapid typing the last post, one of the key strokes canceled it, but I still had to go through the whole thing to find where I lost my train of thought, etc....

That's why I hate having any program that jumps out on top arbitrarily. When I'm using my ICQ and somebody's sending a file, I don't know how many times I've accidentally closed the file dialogue just because it bounced out on top in mid-message.
Prius has no clue about mentors or any such. He's just getting a massive boner at the notion of working with a real, live Space Marine.
One that isn't actually trying to kill him, which is a rather novel experience.

that's debatable, remember he's going to train you guys like marine scouts...
expect no sleep for the next few days...

Well, they are inserting in a couple-three days, so they do need to get some sleep pre-insertion.
