First off I’m finally back, sorry for the delay but I was graduating HS, dealing with the trig final from hell, working, and building stuff. This is the first real chance I’ve had to catch up on posts.

Now, looking over my involvement in the ground war of Ix'Agal it is obvious that I am new to the combat systems of the STGOD I apologies first off for the number of fast short post I’ll learn from this in the future. Secondly I have to admit that I do not understand the DS9 tech level limit completely, I believed that I was within said limit judging from what I had heard about the show through friends. I myself had never actually watched a single episode. As a result I tried to use creative technologies that I had used or seen in other settings (i.e. stories I write, or sci-fi novels I have read).

This presents a list of problems while I was not aware of the ECM being in place. It also shows that the Dimensional Flux cannot be used to target human sized objects accurately while such a field is active. The thought however was that they would be point to point offensive transporters that are capable of moving people or larger objects but do not necessarily have to bring them inside the ship. Continuing along on this line, is it still a valid weapon once the shields of a ship have been brought down for say tearing at someone’s hull in space combat?

I am willing to work on all of these things and am completely open to constructive criticism just please don’t jump down my throat, and once again sorry for screwing up.

Yeah, yeah I know *force choke* apology accepted

D. How did your nation, which is VERY new to the region, suddenly get news crews, FTL comm equipment, and inside access in a VERY (you should understand this, considering you helped make his society, and persumably made your own) foreign nation?
Not my nation... Third party independant news... no national affiliation

A. Shark Bait's nation, not your own, is interacting with mine.
My nation is not participating, and my nations have been villified in the news by third parties...
C. I don't care if he's your lover, it's still his nation, in my time STGODing here I've come to understand your "style" and can predict it very well at times, doesn't mean I post responses for your nation as a whole.
I didnt respond for his nation as a while now did I? I created a third party news orgnization, and interviewed a civilian. Well within the boundaries of standard play

If you have AIM, I'm willing to offer some advice and help you out on the attack.

Oh, come on, it's clearly propoganda. No legitimate news source would run a story like that unless someone had puppet strings.

while we are on the subject i'd like to say that yes my gov will cooperate but it would be best if you questioned our ambasador due to the fact that the crew of the transport dont speak english and do not know human mannarisms. Also my ambassador was the one who allowed karsus to stay, the crew of the transport had nothing to do with it.

For the record, I would like to point out that GCN is a wholly owned subsidiary of RCN, and that my entire nation is a corperate state. ;)

It is called Yellow Journalism. Every news org has a bias. VNN has a bias for godless sake. It does not have a political affiliation. A set of values perhaps(like not doing what amounts to kidnapping another nations citizens) but no political affiliation.

How would the news organizations now react of say... A Nazi war crminal who had been hiding in argentina was found by the US... US sends an aircraft carrier, and the nazi gives hmself up. He hires a charter boat to take him out to the carrier. Then the US troops sedate him, board the ship, knock out and arrest everyone on board and then hitail it to international waters?

It can safely be assumed they would have a similar report.

Is GNN taken? If not, may I take it for what few news reports I may wish to do, as the Overseer obviously has no state-sponsored media?

Of, come on, VNN is clearly a mouthpeice for the Veithan government. USN is a subsidiary of the BIC, which is a front for the Hajr's intelligence operation, and GWN is clearly a UP mouthpeice.

but this one is a simple corporation. Not state sponsored. Hell, even if this news corp was Varathraxian(which it isnt) the idea of a state sponsored media is reprehensible in a libertarian state such as mine :)

Hey, I take offense to that. VNN is not a dedicated mouth piece of the Veithan government. I like to think I have been fairly fair with it.

For the record, Alyrium, you may seriously want to consider giving credit to the sources you used for your "play", seeing as how it could be construed as an entirely original work, and you are quoting things completely word for word.

Aly, every other news channel in the game is in someway affiliated with the poster's country. To say that you randomly get control over a third party news network makes about as much sense as me claiming control over a VNN report if I wanted to.

Yes, but once again, not five minutes after the happenstance.

I have already cited it earlier... however..

Those songs are from The Producers by Mel Brooks.

Just bored, so I made a flag for the Three Suns Commonwealth, my power from STGOD 2. Spiffy, innit? I had to fudge on the pronunciation of "Victoire" a bit to make it work, but hey, they are speaking degenerate half-english Francez, not French, so whatevs :P

The words mean Freedom, Loyalty, and Victory.

It's the wrong shape for a flag--sideways :P

Wrong! The Commonwealth has significant Japanese cultural influence (New Bushido, anyone?) This flag is designed in the style of a mon, and is in fact usually referred to as such. I figure it fit with the Sengoku Jidai style of the last STGOD.

I had the same thought, but I'm not sure if it fits the pattern quite right. It's too western, I think.

Frankly, I just couldn't find a good B&W image of a katana. Besides, the TSC is a huge cultural polyglot- Islam is the second largest religion, they have no less than three official languages (Francez, Anglic, and Frei-go,) their dress sense and interior decorating is decidedly Oriental, while their language, food, and architecture is decidedly Gallic.

I really enjoyed the TSC as a power. I hope I get to play them again...

The Caliphate was also fun (for as long as it lasted), as were the Kzin. Not as fun as the vampires, though. In SDN STGODs I've played as the Pan-Slavic Republic (good guys), the Caliphate (neutral), Kzin (bad guys with honor, which made them almost good guys anyway), and now the Vampires (crooked and villainous).

I'm enjoying being monstrously expansionistic and unpleasant in this STGOD as well, but I think it's an experiment I will only play once.

I would have liked to do more in the short-lived "stgod2" game where I briefly played the TSC. There was a lot of goodness there, shame it died so fast.

Well, I sat down and started working on a flag. This is what I came up with.

Enjoy :)

Fair enough, forgot I had it a bit above accepted pic size before. Shrunk it down to 480 width this time and re-uploaded it, shouldn't cause a problem now. Sorry about that :)
