Beo already tested the 20kt Mark One, the big one. What I've done is simply tested the viability of long-range nuclear delivery via B-1 using a 40kt Mark Two weapon, which is somewhat miniaturized. Still pretty big. And quite long. A B-1 can only carry eight Mark Twos.

Why did Beowulf give you nuclear weapons?
Also, why did you detonate them? Goal?

Probably to see if they'd work. The SNC is probably running quite a few nuclear tests as a matter of course.
I was actually planning a post decribing planned and deployed PeZookian nuclear arsenal.

Really? Beowulf gave you nukes? Because, you do realize that Beowulf is the lead on the MESS nuke program, not off by himself. Which means that he would have had to mention it to the rest of the MESS before doing the technology transfer, which he did not do.

He's a part of Beowulf. I mean... that's like the Ukrainian SSR running it's own Nuclear Tests. Or say French Algeria while still under French rule
I don't find the tests implausible, I find Czech running them implausible...
P.S. Lonestar beat me to it. Beowulf can perfectly test his own nukes on his own, and giving them to colonies for tests..? Since when did that practice originate?

The question remains why Beowulf would lend
any nuclear weapons whatsoever for testing to an erratic colonial client state. Like I said, that's like French Algeria getting nukes from French mainland and doing nuclear tests.
The MESS reaction to this is also something I'd love to see

To reiterate:
Really? Beowulf just handed you a MESS-funded weapon without telling the rest of the organization?
Yes or no?

Tian Jiao is a province of Tian Xia, which means it's just as much part of MESS as Tian Xia.
To clarify; it is not a 'client state', it is not an 'independent colony', it is a semi-autonomous
province of Tian Xia. That was the deal, and that's how it is.

Tian Jiao is a colony of Beowulf's, and thus has no sovereignity. That's silly because it's nothing more than a regional government. Since when did regional governments had been granted any nukes to test? In history? Ever? That's why I call bullshit.

Who said they were given to me for testing? That was part of the local standing stock. Consider that one less potential flattened town in case of future nuclear war.
a note: it was expended to demonstrate the viability of high-speed B-1 delivery of a reaction weapon. guys, this isn't exactly something that's been done a whole lot on Nova Terra. it's not like Earth, where nukes have been around for nearly seventy years.
PS: stas, get on ICQ and i can explain this better. and faster. this is tiresome.
PPS: same thing goes for lonestar on ICQ.

Puerto Rico doesn't have a seperate military force and tests US Nukes on it's own.

So you stole a MESS nuke. Out-fucking standing. I'm going to move that you should be wiped off the face of the planet.

Beowulf deployed nuclear weapons in his own territory in Frequesue. Don't forget that little tidbit.
And you are clearly unaware of the terms of Tian Jiao's voluntary reannexation. It is a ducal province under the Huang Di. The duke (me) is the Emperor (beo)'s emissary and can make what decisions he deems necessary in the name of the defense of the province.
I detonated that nuke to show Karmic that attempting to remove Tian Xia from the continent would be met with atomic force if necessary.
I will not explain myself any more. If Beo doesn't like it, he can tell me his own damn self.
EDIT: I will also note now that those weapons were released to me out of Tian Xia's own stocks of weapons. Not MESS weapons; devices produced by Tian Xia and given to a regional government for use in the defense of the territory.

So you did steal a WMD from your "protector"(not that I recall Beowulf staging nukes there), a weapon created with monies from all over the MESS(and I suspect that the OD input into the program is much more than your little crappy country), and detonated it, apperantly without consulting anyone.
Yeah. I'm going to demand some kind of action be taken against you.
EDIT: I'll note that West German aircraft were given permission to use Nukes form US stockpiles in wartime, that didn't mean they ran around test-detonating them.

You do that. I'm honestly quite surprised you're reacting like this.
I detonated a nuke, given to me, for the defense of Tian Xian territory under my discretion, in the name of the country that Tian Jiao is part of, for the purpose of deterrence against a potential threat to Tian Xia, and you are acting like I just stabbed you in the kidney.
Honestly, it's none of your business, Lonestar. IC or OOC. If I'd actually nuked someone, you'd have the right to act like this. But I simply demonstrated it. Out the stock placed under my discretion. Which is a mere fraction of the total MESS stock, and does not even incdlude the Mark Three weapons coming into service.
And I did it to avoid a war that would have probably dragged MESS in at some point anyway. You're welcome for that.
PS: You do not seem to comprehend that as a part of a MESS country, Tian Jiao is part of MESS (albeit a minor member). Otherwise it would be a lot like Alaska being excluded from NATO on the grounds it was bought from Russia.

I find it unbelievable that Beowulf placed Nukes to be used "Under your discretion". Espescially with the addendum "lol it's okay to use them for peacetime showboating."
And avoid WHAT war? I don't suppose it has occured to you that Tian Xia might simply cut you loose if you act in this manner?

He didn't say I could use them for showboating. They're for self defense. I demonstrated one to show Brandon and the FTO that Tian Jiao, as a representative of Tian Xia, would defend itself with nuclear arms if necessary in the event the FTO tried to remove Tian Xia from the continent.
I felt it was an extension of 'self-defense'. I take it you disagree. But that doesn't matter, because you have no say anyway.
EDIT: WHAT manner? Karmic was basically trying to get the FTO to rally against Beo and I, I did something to deter that, and this is suddenly me being a loose cannon? wtf man?
EDIT2:
This is a transcript of part of an AIM conversation Beo and I had last night. Some relevant bits, with timestamps to show i didn't just BS it up.
DagorladSurvivor is myself. MHui 421 is Beo. All times are PST, as this is copied from my automatic log.
[17:20:53] DagorladSurvivor: i don't know how many nukes i have
[17:21:02] DagorladSurvivor: cause i'm not actually producing any
[17:21:19] DagorladSurvivor: all of TJ's nuclear-production apparatus is busy making nuclear reactors.
[17:21:27] DagorladSurvivor: i have whatever you've shipped me
[17:21:43] MHui 421: clip of Mk 2 for each bomber
[17:21:50] MHui 421: combat coded bomber
[17:21:51] DagorladSurvivor: that it?
[17:21:56] DagorladSurvivor: that's -every- bomber
[17:22:07] DagorladSurvivor: 72 B-1Ds
[17:22:12] MHui 421: 8 bombs time 72 bombers
[18:02:35] DagorladSurvivor: reaction weapons deployment is still something we don't have a lot of knowledge about
[18:03:23] MHui 421: well, the general thought is that: drop one weapon on one city. repeat as needed
[18:04:13] DagorladSurvivor: i have...576 weapons
[18:04:20] DagorladSurvivor: and 72 bombers to deliver them with
[18:04:29] MHui 421: yup
[18:04:49] DagorladSurvivor: which will have to be heavily escorted.
[18:04:50] MHui 421: the weapons were flown in, BTW
[18:04:53] DagorladSurvivor: heavily, heavily escorted.
[18:04:54] DagorladSurvivor: awesome.
[18:05:03] MHui 421: on B-1s, nonetheless
[18:11:53] DagorladSurvivor: if we end up in a DEFCON 1 confrontation with the FTO
[18:12:00] DagorladSurvivor: i'll need your help.
[18:12:30] DagorladSurvivor: SLBMs, bomber delivered weapons, GLCM-delivered weapons...
[18:13:40] MHui 421: well, yeah
[18:13:57] MHui 421: they war with you, they war with me
