Well, looks like we are all done with diplomacy for the moment

And so Diplomacy begets violence. Let the new thread commence!

To paraphrase a German politician... No one has any intentions to engage in violence!

If anyone wants to work out further trade agreements, I'm game, but yeah, it looks like the less mundane stuff is done.

Dahak, Thirdfain, if you're planning to attack Llaelar, be aware that I'll be attempting to take their southernmost sytem for myself. Just so we're clear.

I call dibs on the bit below my southern border.

Well. Too bad, so sad for the Llaelar, but it'll be interesting watching you four shred each other.
*Whistles innocently*

Well, there is this thing called "role playing", which we do in in-game-threads

Saying it here is all fine and dandy, but it's not like you are to say who takes what and others abide by it. If you're too late, you're too late. And no one has the plan to attack anyone

Well, naturally. But I find everything goes much smoother if the parties involved are aware of each other's intentions.
And sure there's no plan to attack Llaelar. I find that completely plausible and not the least but suspicious.

A pity the system you would like to gain is, should it ever come to hostilities, of interest to three parties. You'd have to be creative to get it alone...

Especially since that's the only system through which Dahak has easy access to the Llaelar. Hence the shredding.

I've had quite enough of that staid old prude, Diplomacy. Time for an evening with her wanton younger sister War!
Master Baerne, don't you worry. I'm sure we'll be able to talk something over.

Oooh aren't they cute...cute and tastey. I'm sure the Chamaran delegation would just love to discuss interspecies relations over dinner with the Chi.

Now I get hit with a reference to an old game I don't know. The thread has gone full circle.

Anthropomorphic rats determining leadership through a battle of wits? Okay, it could be a coincidence, but it's one hell of one.

If it helps anyone to picture, I was kinda inspired by something Keith Thompson did when thinking of a look for a lithe, alien robot:

The whole neck thing appealed to me.
Incidentally, if you haven't seen it already, check his gallery out. Some of his stuff is pretty cool.

Delightful. Then the backstabbing can begin.
