When I'm on the docka again, I try to move as carefully (still invisble) as possible in the direction of Tsaroth, to try to drag him out of there into safety.

"I think the ship may be a bit useless now." Grozny mumbles to himself. When he reaches shore, he runs as quickly as possible to his pony, and then to the cat.

The mercs raise the white flag.

A bit of enquiry and tracking reveals Tsaroth to be located in the city jail.

"So this is what I get for trying to negotiate... I get locked up. How nice. Note to self, write a very nasty letter to the captain of the battlemages o this town."

How does the jail look like? Protection, guard, etc...?

I'm going to go back to the dock to see if I can find Robgea or any of the others.

Griz is still at the docks - asking the guards "What will happen to the ones who have hired the merc ship?"

Large, stone building with no windows and lots of guards.
I'm going to go back to the dock to see if I can find Robgea or any of the others.
You find Robgea.
"What will happen to the ones who have hired the merc ship?"
The guard arrest you.

"I think our travelling companions may be in a spot of bother." mutters Grozny to robgea as he attempts to drag him into the nearest alley way. "Any suggestions on how to get them out of the jail, and still intercept the kobolds, all withou angering the local judicuy if possible."

I think about breaking into the jail, but I don't think I could do it alone. I cast Change self on me, and try to find Grozny and Robgea.

"Really? I think you are quite wrong here. You helped a criminal and attacked the fortress of the city. You can consider yourself lucky if you don't get executed. About the rest of you mercs will tell the authorities who you are. Surrender to the town guard. Maybe you can get away with a enforced & dangerous quest in service of the town. "

"Robgea was no criminal. He actually followed proceedure when it comes to a lab accident. He owed them nothing, and they were charging him illegally.
I did not participate in hostilities, and attempted to resolve the situation through trial by combat. The guards broke the law by continuing hostilities after that."

Seeing Keenan walking about the city, Grozny quietly motions him to the alley way where he is hiding. "Well that makes three of us. Any idea where the other two are, and what they're doing?"

"He'S in the jail!" he's definitely in rage. "I mus free him! Or I will tear down that fucking city," he hissed.

"O.K. Calm down first, we can't go straight to the prison and attack head on. We're good, but we're not 5,000 to 3 good. We need to try and get them out legally if possible, and if not hopefully without confrontation. I don't fancy fighting a couple of thousand guards without an army with me, even I'm not that good. If we're lucky we might get off with giving them bail, if not then its something else."

"I am calm!" his fist hit a nearby wall. "We have to help him! What would you do? Ask nicely?"

"Legal solutions only. Otherwise the town will be busy hunting you instead of the kobolds. I defintely want a quest/geas spell on Robgea"

"That still has the problem of us going against the majority of the towns militia, which isn't really helpful with kobolds on the way, and especially when we intend to follow them. If either of you have an invisibility spell or illusion spells, I've got an idea."

"This is still a prison break even if we hurt nobody. We can afford to lose access to this town or worse access to several other town if we managed to get outlawed in the process."

Griz, you were arrested, it is sort of difficult to talk to the rest of them.
