Whether McCain smeared or not, I don't think these people would ever have accepted a Dem president. Many of McCain's supporters are the extreme nutjobs who are so bigoted that nothing either candidate did would have stopped them from throwing out that rhetoric.

I honestly feel sorry for McCain. He's brought it upon himself, no question there, but I doubt this is the campaign he wanted to run, or the legacy he wanted to leave behind.

First we all need to pray McCain wins. If he doesnt tho, we will survive Obama. He will do disastrous things but we will rebuild our movement. Someone shouted "John's our president", getting claps. People started chanting his name, booing when he said he lost and that Obama was president every single time.

Can you imagine if the old McCain hadn't shown up? If he had given an angry speech, saying ACORN stole the election and he wouldn't concede until an investigation was done, someone in that audience would have tried to kill Obama. I'm sure of it.
