The river's not all bad terrain though, only the bits at the bank and the section in the middle of the map. (You can really tell when you're on broken terrain).

I plan on going all the way up. I love glass cannons, armor is overrated.

The Nashorn seems lackluster, and the tier 8 doesn't seem to special either. The remaining tiers look fun though. I think I'll go up to the Sturer Emil just because 128mm cannon in t7 is crazy.

Okay, the Nashorn is a tier six Hummel with a Tiger's gun a tier early. Last I checked the Tiger's become a monster because of that DPM blaster, so an agile chassis with that is going to be an awesome snipemobile. Accurate as could be, good moving dispersion and

The tier eight is a turreted tank with what looks to be great moving dispersion and a 750 alpha gun, with pretty good camo and high agility, as well as 400 meter view range so it can spot for itself a bit. It's a pretty good trade with the ISU for raw rate of damage dealing for having significantly more flexibility. It should be pretty good seeing as the comparison is to the best tier eight TD.

The tier seven is what's going to suck. 15 shells, 25 kph top speed and it's dubious it can hit it.

The nine is a quick hidey jagdtiger, it seems pretty good when it gets spotting and has the maneuverability to pull shenanigans from time to time. It's a pretty cool tank.

The five is fast and has a good gun even if you don't waste xp on the long 88, with a good arc and all that jazz.

The four is a four, you'll be out of it before you know it if it's bad, and the old school marder II wasn't that bad at all.

The tier ten is the most unbalanced atrocity against balance in the game's history and I remember lag-warping T-44s and tier nine IS-4s.

Saw one of the Rheinmetall Borsig waffletraktors rack up a nine kill game today.

They're pretty hard. (It was in the hands of a deep deep purple player).

Well, that's going to make the rest of the ST-1 grind (and the IS-4) interesting to play.

First battle? So I'm assuming you're using the low pen high depression gun? Have fun while it lasts.

Okay, so, the Jagdpanther II is pretty much the single best tank I've ever driven. Plenty of speed, fantastic casemate armor, and obscene firepower. The same 128mm as the Maus or E-100 have at tier 10, only with a faster rate of fire and better gun handling and accuracy. At tier 8.

Ferdinand has the same gun, but with a lower rate of fire despite having twice as many loaders, which makes perfect sense, along with much less speed and largely ineffective armor due to large weakspots and relying on big flat armor plates.

I may very well get one for 7/42, because that level of alpha is actually a really good counter to autoloaders. Thing is I'm possibly going to get a WTF for clan wars and driving into pubs and complaining about how fragile it is while going unspotted the whole match.

I need to scrounge up the credits to buy back my trusty IS3 with 360% crew. It's only gotten better and better with the 8.6 accuracy buff and the turret front buff (used to be penetrated by gold rounds). I still haven't read a definitive description on the change to the frontal hull armor.

PS: Does the 7/42 earn extra credits for the winner?

It seems to, yeah. Was making credits consistently running an IS-3. It seemed repairs were very cheap.

Is it just me or is 8.9 lag spiking with alarming regularity? I never had issues with 8.8 and below, even on x5 weekends.

It lag spiked a lot for me yesterday but that was Steam downloading Halloween patches.

I havn't played for ages untill recently and I immediately noticed there are hardly any artillery players anymore. Have they been hit by the nerfbat or does it has to do with matchmaking?

There was an "artillery nerf" a bit ago that really didn't change it all that much, it's just that everyone other than artillery is more accurate so a lot of rocket campers now feel like artillery sucks. Also they capped the amount of arty in a match to 5 per team in another patch.

There was that and then there was a bunch of actual nerfs in the same patch.

Yeah, but those nerfs wouldn't be noticeable to your standard scumbag. Except for the gun depression balance, maybe.

The main think noticable to the average player (the thing that made all the noobs quit arty, which had been the objective because it was too easy for noobs to get to high tier in arty) was the huge dispersion and aimtime and, minorly, reload.

Some arties have had small buffs in those areas now.

This has had the effect of making tier 10 playable, as long as you love TDs.

I haven't played arty since before the nerfs. Not because of said nerfs mind you, I just got bored with it.

In the American tree, what would you say are the differences between the turreted TDs and the corresponding tanks? At low tier, the M8A1, T49, M10, M18, and M36 are lightly armored and would be most closely compared to medium tanks. At higher tiers, the turreted TDs seem to act more like heavies.
