Up on the wall, Captain Brynhild raised his sword upon Lord Trollbane's command and dropped it, crying "Fire!" as the paladin lifted off. A volley of arrows flew from the wall and into the enemy's lines. Brynhild peered over the battlements, looking to see what effect they'd had...

Coaan: As your spell begins to take shape, it is suddenly hit by a counterspell, and it quickly disspates.

Torm bounced with glee at the dropping of the mage, but when she heard the battering ram, she quickly began running, and, with a powerful downbeat of huge draconic wings, she took wing. Ooo! That's not nice! she thought, as she began a strafing run with her Repulsion gas on the hobgoblins working the battering ram.
(Adroit Flyby Attack, Repulsion Gas. Those who cannot make a will save vs. a 26 must spend the next 1d6+2 rounds fleeing and nothing else)
Malkamar quickly found a new mage to target after the first fell, pulling back and letting a pair of arrows fly at once at the nearest spellweaver in the enemy ranks. "Ast, you better handle those troopers.." He muttered.
(Manyshot, nearest mage, two arrows from the +3 Longbow)

The entire front rank of slave fodder lie dying or dead beneath the storm of arrows, but more move in to replace the fallen, urged on by a symphony of whips.

Nitram: The burst of gas causes several of the hobgoblins to gasp and run, but the majority still manage to hold their positions, and swing the ram once again, casuing the gate to shudder mightily. Soldiers above the gate pour burning oil down, but the hobgoblins shrug it off as if it wwas nothing more than rain water. A lightning bolt suddenly flashes, but it is merely absrobed by Torms hide and disspates harmlessly.
(Now for your attack): You cannot see any mages standing in the open. They must have learned that wearing a robe tends to end someones life quickly in battle.

With his first spell cast, Astinius pointed his wand of fireball at the hobgoblin ranks and fired. A deadly ball of fire screaming toward them and exploding.(I have mproved counterspell, and dont need to prep actions to counterspell... which for me is also a free action)

Torm is immune to that spell

He muttered and shook his head, beginning chanting anew to draw on the power of nature to aid the archer's grace on the walls, carefully drawing the pattern for the enchantment with his hands
(Mass Cat's grace, +4 to all on the wall 30ft from it's origin)

The hobgoblins yelp in pain, but it seems whatever enchantment placed upon them must be still working, as they remain (mostly) unscorched.

The soldiers on the wall suddenly seem more graceful, more deft than before, and begin placing their shots with amazing accuracy.

Percival's wings beat madly, scrambling for altitude. As they cleared the wall, the army outside came into view. Gaheris gasped, but steadied his hand and fired three arrows into the mix. He then took Percival into a short dive, to duck back behind the walls.

Caoimhin continued pacing, almost wishing that someone would break in...

"So, they are protected from fire"
Astinius put on his goggles(they are always on his head, just up out of his eyes) and activated the Know protections and detect magic features.
Then, he again let his mind into its happy place. He called up a modified fireball. This time, rather than fire, it woulduse sonic energy. His hands and words shaped the weave and let the magic spring from his outstreched arms. His position in a crenellated battlement shielding him from view.
The energy hit and a massive wave of sound and horrible air-pressure ripped though Hobgoblins like tissue paper.

The hobgoblins are literally turned into small chunks of meat from the pressure wave.

He murmured to himself and began casting protections, encasing himself slowly in a skin of bark. He was preparing for the gate which would ultimately fall at this rate

The archers readied and fired again at Captain Brynhild's command, while clerics rushed around tending the wounded.

More slaves drop dead, but your archers are pounded right back by a hail of arrows and spears, dropping at least six of them.

"Nice thinking." Malkamar rumbled as he saw the sonic ball burst and shatter Hobgoblins. "Now he just needs to remember to hit those artillery..." He sighted on one of the slavedrivers. "Aim for the riders!" He bellowed. "They keep the slaves in this battle! Strike them down and they should scatter!" A pair of arrows nocked and loosed in an eyeblink, sailing for the throat of one of those bearing whips.
(Manyshot, slave driver)
Torm felt the tickle of lightning coursing through her, before her body harmlessly absorbed the energies. "Hehe! That tickles!" She giggled to herself, loosing a burst of lightning into the enemy ranks where the blast had come from. "That's how you do lightning!"
(Lightning Breath, 4D6, into the formation where the zap came from)

Percival gained altitude again, allowing Gaheris to volley off another three arrows before ducking. The two continued to fly a circuit of the wall, below the battlement line.

Once again Astinius's mind slipped into the recesses of spellcasting. His entire body awash with the energy of the weave. It was almost... erotic, and it ws the only thing he really took pleasure in.
His hands performed their tasks with the precsion of a tailor, weaving the fabric f existence to his whims, as the words of magic coaxed the threads into place.
This time, he wove a wall of electricityy from what he knew of a Wall of Fire spe, and he shaped it, he shaped it to hit the slave drivers keeping the enemy tropps in line. With that massive weretiger rampaging though them, they would break if their masters showed any sign of weakness.
(Modified wall of fire spell that uses electricity. Also, it snakes through the enemy ranks hitting "officers" and slave drivers)

Astinius also looks at the gate. Is it anywhere near failing?
What spells do I see with know potections and detect magic? Mages will shine like becons

BTW, the wall does 2d6+15 damage to those that are inside of it, and does 2d4(possibly +15 the spell is poorly worded) to anyone within 10 feet of the far side of the wall, and 1d4(also possibly +15) to those within 20 feet of the far side
I just killed a shitload of slaves.

Caoimhin stared up at the wall and the gate. He thought about taking up position near the gate so as to get in the fray if it broke, but then he looked at the large group of mounted lancers poised to charge and thought better of it.
Suddenly an idea struck him. That army out there was composed of terrified slaves, who likely resented their masters... If this would work...
He rushed up the battlement stairs and went to a hole between crenellations. His voice boomed out as he addressed the slaves, holding his rapier and dagger out to either side of him.
"Behold, Caoimhin! I am not one of you! Yet I fight! I fight with the Church of Tyr! I fight against the tyrants who hold you under their boots! If you would be free men, then you must fight! Join us now!" He waited for their answer. Dodging behind the battlements now would spoil the effect, so he held steady, holding out his weapons and waiting for the reaction of the slaves...
[Diplomacy modifier +12.]

Duncan and Tash had been aslep when the batle began, figuring they would get some shuteye before the fight... the sounds of battle woke them and they rushed to the battlements... He worked a spell and cast protection from arrows on himself and then again on Tash.
