Are you sure about that? Make sure I can roll back the turn.

Brian
The log on the PBW site said it threw off the turn. My Internet is supposed to be hooked up today, so I can check to make sure.

You mean this

Kicking off turn computation (arthurtuxedo)

that's not throwing away the turn, that happens every time for the last person submitting.

I checked your turn, you have no missing turns under the "game history" (if you did it would have highlighted yellow) so it looks okay, tell me if it's not and I'll roll back.

Oh ok, I guess I misunderstood, then. These are not the droids you are looking for. Move along. :whistles innocently:

Looks like the turn computation kicks off in about 10 minutes, minus two players. If you guys read this in time, you might want to jump on it. You won't have time to take a full turn, but it's better to do nothing than to let the AI research crap projects, attack your friends, flood your design lists, obsolete your designs, and scrap your build queues.

If anybody ever has any problems submitting a turn, please tell me. I can turn off the autoexecution or delay it if you give me advance notice. If you say nothing though it runs, every 72 hours. Peace.

<edit>I moved the turn forward a few hours ahead. Only this once though.</edit>

<edit 2>Thanks, didn't mean to be a hardass, if you have trouble submitting turns next time let me know early so I can advance the time and you won't miss your turn, if arthur hadn't posted and I hadn't saw it 10 minutes before the deadline you would be outta luck this turn hehe so you should thank him for the extension.</edit>

It's a hypothetical, thankfully. I'm glad I wasn't too hung over from last night or I would have logged on and missed the turn, by the look of it.

Or the time zone difference just scared me.

Wow ECM, Combat Sensors and a Sensor Array are really important, not to mention shields... An AI light cruiser was just taken out by a bare bones destroyer... the light cruiser missed all its shots except for one and the destroyer got in transpoter range... then captured cruiser went on to try and attack a planet, and was annihilated by 8 satellites...

Sorry we didn't get more turns run over the holiday weekend, I was dragged off to a family thing.

In other news, I'll aquire my first racial weapon at the end of this turn. Time to go post in the RP thread.

That's right Borg, you've found my home system.

It's funny, every time I have an idea, I load the turn file and you've already done it first - to me.

We are the borg. Resistance is of course, not recommended.

Well, gups. Honestly? You had a bad starting hand. I figured that based on our starting locs, your homeworlds would be there... pity the map boxed you in. Unlike Dalton, who'se got a big 'undefendable territory here' flag on his head.

The game is set up for allied victory after turn fifty. At any time an empire may declare his intent to surrender. A defeated empire that surrenders works with the victor in writing up a post for the RP thread. There is now a puppet government in place on the loser's homeworlds. Then the defeated empire and the winner set up a subjugation treaty. The subjugated empire is to defer to the ruler for all tactical and strategic decisions. "Resistance movements" are assumed in the background and can never override the ruler's decisions. The degree of autonomy allowed by the ruling empire is of course, up to the ruling empire. The subjugated empire cannot at any time break this treaty for the rest of the game unless a foreign power brings a fleet to their home system to liberate them. Liberation means no enemy ships or defenses and only the home planets themselves, along with a "liberation fleet" coming into the home system. Of course the liberating fleet can themselves choose to put your population into subjugation.

Of course all of this is voluntary on the part of the ruling empire. If they decide to blow you to smitherines or occupy your home planets, then you're out of luck. It's only there as an alternative to keep players in the game rather than this eventually becoming a two-horse race.

Why not come and see how "undefendable" it is

That would be my job, Klingon, and don't worry, I'll get to it as soon as I conquer the neutrals in the way.

Almost a thousand units, though, and it's anybody's guess what they are, though a good chunk are probably police troops. Which is why my fleet will be prepared for anything when it goes to decimate the Klingon race.
