Officers and enlisted men wore them throughout the Italian Campaign, as well as the invasion of the south of France, like these Moroccan troops at Monte Cassino:

At Allied HQ? Who knows? I doubt many wore kachabias, though there are quite a few photos of Montgomery and others wearing duffel coats, which are mostly the same thing.
