Captain tycho wrote:"One second, don't go rushing off to free your friend just yet. Perhaps I can try negoatiating with the guards and explain everything."
"And how do you think they'll react? Here, if we can get the cart to within 60 feet of the enterence I could unlock it for you and help us get in..."

"So she is to be trusted?" Keenan asks as he drops his invisibility, still clinging to the wall.
"We *need* to free him!"

"Whatever we're going to do, we need to act quickly. We only have a say before the kobolds arrive, and I'd like to be ready to get them when they get here, not be pursuing them again."

"But not right this minute, besides the longer lover boy stays in there, the more of an appetite he builds, for you."

Anya looks up at Keenan, and grimances. "Lover boy?"

"All prisoners, if they have reason to believe the charges agaisnt them are unfounded may speak to a magistrate at the time of their arrest to move for the dismissal of charges."
"The magistrate is busy. We just launched a raid on the theives guild and there a huge backlog. He'll get to you in a few hours."

"Yeah... by the way, you might want to get some ear-plugs when you get the chance."

"It's not that bad, I can sleep through it. Although I can also sleep through quarry collapses." Grozny chuckles. "But back to business. Our best bet is for one of us to go into the jail at night under invisibility, whilst we try to cause some sort of diversion to draw the guards away from the jail. Anyone else got any idea?"

"We drive by in the wagon, I knock the door down, some of you run in under the cover of invisibility and free the lad. Or, of course, we could send the Paladin in, have her act as his arbiter with you two there invisibly, and then have her pleed his case to the magistrates."

"That reminds me actually. Have we tried telling the magistrates just why we were sailing out on the merchant ship yet? Tsaroth did no wrong as far as we know. But you might have to keep your head down due to the whole spell incidents. We'd proberbly best go for the negotiation option."

Keenan finally made it from the wall back on the street.
"Tsaroth is...very special to me. I *will* free him, one way or the other," he glared at Anya. "But if you have any useful insight, you may help us."

(ooc: sorry, but I'm on a LAN party until tomorrow evening, so I can't post that much :) )

"So what are we going to do. Personally I reckon we should send the Paladin in, with a few of us under invisiblity. Got the best chance of working I reckon, and Robgea can have the cart ready just in case it all goes pear shaped."

"Here, we drive by, park the wagon, if our beloved Paladin lady, what is your name by the way, can't get in, I'll knock and get the rest of you in under invisibility."

OOC: We have life!

"Fine then, lets go."

OOC: @Straha Hmm I thought your characters alignment is lawfull neutral. Prison brakes & killing members of the guard isn't exactly what I would call lawfull neutral behavior.

OOC: No, but he could see this as the lesser of two evils, either Alyrium stays in prison, Kobolds get away, bad shit happens, OR Aly gets out, Kobolds get caught, everyone is happy. Or I could just say I'm not participating in the break besides unlocking the door.

Fine then, while you proceed to the prision........

--

Alyrium is brought before the magistrate. Before he can speak, the magistrae opens up a scroll.

*cough* "By direct order of his royal magisty the king, for acts of out-outstanding valor in defense of the realm, all charges and outstanding debts are hereforth dropped."

He lowers the scroll.

"You have friends in high places, but don't think of trying that again. Now get out of my sight."

Alyrium is escorted to outside the city hall.

--

Your cart pulls up outside the prision.
