As you are following in what you presume to be the party's trail, you encounter a patrol of well-equipped soldiers, men-at-arms or maybe even knights. Upon spotting you, they draw longswords and the lead soldier yells, "Halt! Who be ye and what is you business in these parts? If you are another brigand, we will slay you!"

"I mean no harm," I shout back in (vulgar Latin, I presume?) "I was separated from my companions by brigands almost a fortnight ago, and have been following their tracks ever since."

Satisfied, the soldiers sheath their swords. The leader announces, "We are Knights Hospitaler, and we were set upon by bandits several days ago. We lost a few of our number and some of our equipment as well. Come, we will take you to our encampment."

One of the knights calls for his squire and a moment later several lead horses to the knights' location. They mount up and begin to move.

At long last you reach the bottom. The illuminating glow has long since been unavailable and it is consequently quite dark. You seem to be in a large underground cavern.

Ignoring the squealing goblin for the moment, Grozny takes time to serach the dea goblins and the tent.

Upon completing the search, he turns round to the squealing goblin, "Quiet little one, lest you wish to join them. Now, do you recognise these two. Who are they?"

I prod my horse into following them, wondering if the rest of the group had already found these knights, or if they had even survived the bandits.
