I was able to hear up to 21.1, but i couldn't hear the 17.7 or 18.8. What is up with that?

I can hear up to 18kHz, after that it's just clicks & pops.

I'd guess that there's some weird resonance & distortion problem with your speakers or headphones once you get past 18.8kHz. You're not hearing the 20kHz tones, you're hearing the distortions caused by the transducers attempting to reproduce the tones.

I can still hear into the 21.1 kHz range at its lowest volume (through headphones), and I'm 30. Yay. No busted Organ of Corti for me!

Just for fun, I tried the 22.4 kHz range result as well as my actual result. I'm not sharing what it says. :)

21.1kHz

Easy peasy. I didn't even have to turn my speakers' volume past what it's normally at.

And I'm 32 years old, so ha to all of you youngin's.

Edit, from some of your comments, perhaps I am hearing a buzz sound that isn't the actual tone?

We'd need to all do this test with the same speakers.

It was a distinctive EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! sound to me at 21.1.

Sony MDR-V150 headphones slaved to the mobo's integrated soundchip set.

17.7 here, which isn't too bad for an old fogey of 35.
