I've just made a post in the main thread asking players to vote; I think we should just tally up the votes in a couple of days.

As a request, no matter which mods are confirmed, I'd ask that at least one of the mods not have a faction of their own, if this has not been covered yet. After all, we'll need someone in charge of "Wandering Monsters, Goatse Wormholes, and Assorted Other Random Spacey Happenings." If this has already been covered, feel free to ignore this request.

The only problem with that is keeping interest; it's hard to put in the time and effort required for modding unless you are deeply involved.

Everyone has a faction, but disasters and boons can be randomly assigned.

EDIT: And then Hotfoot tells me I'm wrong. Woops.

SirNitram, Thirdfain, and Imperial Overlord seems to me to be the most stable and controversy free Mod squad.
No offense to Hotfoot or beowulf, but both of you seem to be sources of contention that I think should be avoided, although I have no personal problem with either of you.

I'll support SirNitram, Thirdfain, and Imperial Overlord, although I would approve of Hotfoot being held as an alternate in case one of the others is unable to fulfill their duties for a period of time.

This was posted in the SE:V RP thread by Thirdfain (guess he is drunk):
A bit of a disclozure: This guy, experienced in STGODs aws he is, is an alchoholic. Undestand this! I WILL br stoned, or at least drunk, on your average friday night. If you place a vote in my favor, wait until the week begins or vote for someone else; otherwise, my decisions may be a absurd.

Bonne Nuit!

*pukes on your shoes*
Get the hell out of our thread THIRDfain, you and all your numbers hating STGODders :wanker:. You wouldn't last two seconds in a real game of galactic domination, with 48 hour deadlines, research and dice!

:D.

Was kidding, sorry. Bad joke. Besides, I think it actually takes a lot more brains to work with a looser system, and a lot more honesty.

Cancer is a rather brutal death. Can I pick something else, faster?

My grandfather died of cancer.

I have no issue whatsoever with at least one of the mods getting willfully and with malice aforethought getting trashed on friday nights. To do otherwise would arouse one's suspicions, I would say.

Ah well. If it makes you feel any better my dad died of cancer, when I was sixteen, just a few years ago.

Get drunk as much as you want friend. I'm afraid I can't join you, because the slightest bit of booze makes me fall asleep. I'm dead serious: I don't think it's possible for me to get drunk, because any significant consumption of alcohol makes me drowsy as an athlete after a marathon.

Nitram, Hotfoot, and Thirdfain

I'm changing my vote to include Hotfoot as a mod because, after some thought on how modding in previous STGODs has gone down, I think there is something to be said for having a mod who is not playing the game and thus can at least pretend to stay objective.

What are the guidelines for moderator actions in game? Would a mod handle the ruling for something he was involved as a player in? If SirNitram is a mod, will he handle his own intelligence actions? Thirdfain handle his own fleet actions? This is a rather big concern for me, if only because of the number of freeform games that have broken because of things like that and this game looks to be too awesome to let go that way.

Guys, I think we need to get this shit started. I know a handful of people are still working on OOBs, and thats okay. I think monday or tuesday at the latest we should open the official storyline and OOC threads.

Indeed, Though I will be going on a vacation from the 22nd-29th of this month so I would be pretty unresponsive during those dates.
