Odd; when I look at the animation I couldn't get it to go anything but clockwise, but when I look at it frame by frame I see counter-clockwise.
And now when I go back and concentrate on the foot, I see counter-clockwise for a minute.

Each time I first glance at her, she's spinning counter-clockwise, but then I just sort of have a sort of perception reboot and she's going clockwise. Cool!
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around! If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!! Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!
Looking at the frames, she should be going counter-clockwise. Frame 13 doesn't look right if she's facing forward. Her reflection also appears to be counter-clockwise.
Yet whenever I look, she's going clockwise.
I can get her to reverse after covering up everything except the reflection (which only makes sense going counter-clockwise) and slowly uncovering the rest of the animation. Then those details make sense, but the animation stutters more. Her right foot also seems to move unnaturally when she's going counter-clockwise.
And the more I try to switch back and forth, the harder it is to get her to go clockwise again.
At first, I could only see her going counter-clockwise. Then I shortened the window until I couldn't see her feet, and just stared at her spinning, and FINALLY I could see her going clockwise. Actually, it was more like I felt the transmission in my brain grinding and then *GRUNK* clockwise. A few dozen spins later, *GRUNK* counter-clockwise. This continued until I look at her feet (with the reflection), when it stabilized on counter-clockwise.
Basically, as long as I'm not paying attention to her feet, I get random switches with an accompanying *GRUNK* feeling. Looking at her feet restores her counter-clockwise spin at the next time she's in profile.

It's weird. Normally I see her going clockwise, which would indicate that I'm right-brained. But if I'm right-brained, I should be left handed, but I'm not.
I can make her appear to change directions, with some squinting.
"If one needed proof that a guitar was more than wood and string, that a song was more than notes and words, and that a man could be more than a name and a few faded pictures, then Robert Johnson’s recordings were all one could ask for."
At first she was turning counter clockwise. But after watching for a few minutes she switched directions. Now I can see her moving in either direction if I concentrate.

I could only see her going counter-clockwise at first, but I figured it out eventually.
It is the brain looking at an ambiguous image and creating a 3-D shape from it. It seems that this 3-D shape you generate allows you to interpret what you see, since the illusion can appear to get "stuck" in one orientation.
All I can get is clockwise. At one point I saw a few seconds of counterclockwise, but now it's just clockwise, even if I blink really fast or close one eye and then the other or no matter what I do. I have a dominant left eye.

I see them naturally convex and have to concentrate to see them concave.

That one I can do - I just picture the sun shining from the left instead of the right. The spinning naked lady does not have shading so you can't use that trick there.

There does seem to be a minor error in frame 13 that reveals the true direction. But I don't see how the reflection can work unless she spins clockwise... Wait! It's not a reflection, it's a shadow—the light source is coming from above and behind.
Her right foot also seems to move unnaturally when she's going counter-clockwise.
Which right? Her right foot when she goes clockwise or when she goes counter-clockwise?

Interesting that we prefer the opposite directions, bro. I don't find that staring at the feet helps me to switch at all.

Man, that's irritating. They started looking concave. But when I scrolled down and they flipped and now refuse to flip back, despite the fact I can see the sun coming in from the right on the scattered bits of sand nearby.
She's spinning to her right. (Which to my thinking is clockwise) In .gif form and frame by frame.
Which according to their run down makes me right brained. (I'll take it, I'm left handed, and the old joke goes...)
But it's the details the lead me to conclude that. It's pretty clear that her right leg is the one outstretched. Just from the shape of her feet... not to mention the way her body is aligned and the way the rotation changes...
I'm sure you can convince yourself that she could spin either way, but that strikes me more as deluding the senses than anything useful...

nah, I just tested it with a collegue. She sees the opposite most of the times. Also, according to her, she flips her direction a lot of the time, while for me it's a lot more constant

Is she actually seeing the opposite direction to you, or is one of you taking clockwise while looking down and the other is taking clockwise while looking up ?
I see it as counter-clockwise. I haven't tried to see it as anything else so I don't know if I can. But I naturally see her going counter.

I think it's partially the frames they're actively processing. A tad bit like hub caps on TV. (Though the 'spinning backwards' visual effect there only happens for me when the car's slowing.)
And partially that it's a black figure with no real definition outside of the edges leading to a lack of recognition as to which way she's really facing.
With a bit of the good old miscommunication. But, who am I to talk. I still have trouble working those whole "minds eye" type pictures. (You know, the one's that if you look at them cross-eyed on a full moon, you'll see some kind of image... usually a critter or airplane...)

she changes her mind every minute.
I can do it too now if I concentrate on the shadow

Same here. It seems that the clockwise direction dominates, but if I blink or keep looking away then looking again I can get her to go anticlockwise.
My roommate only saw her spinning clockwise.
