I was thinking the same thing though i spent more time laughing that he got one of our local village idiots to testify in his favor when the guy hadn't even been there. I mean he testified that the guy (the driver) had been pulling out before she arrived and that she had hit him (the driver). The Judge asked him if he had been there, his response, reportedly, follows:

"No sir, that's just what he told me happened."

Dude, I can read. I saw your original post. Yes, of course you were horrified and repulsed by what you saw; I'm not questioning that part of it. What I am questioning is why, after your list of adjectives, the first thing you had to say was about how she looked. Go ahead and flame me if you think I'm out of line, but I found it to be a bit callous that that was the first complete sentence you posted. My anger wasn't directly solely at you but at anyone whose first response to that scenario is, "What a shame, she was so pretty!" Like that makes a fucking bit of difference when she won't be able to do anything without people staring at her in horrid fascination for the rest of her life.

Now now, let's not be too harsh here. Every time I have ever seen a news report showing a picture of some little child who got killed by a pedophile, everyone always says "Oh my god, what a beautiful child. What a terrible tragedy" or similar words to that effect. The statement is not intended to differentiate between this child and other, presumably less attractive children. It is an attempt to express sympathy, say something good about the victim, and bemoan the loss.

Prolly because that's the first thing I SEE!!! Is her. I don't hear her, or know her. There is no form of personal background to go on. So yes, it was a shame. She was a very lovely young woman. This goes in part, with what I will say is because I'm an artist, and visualness is pretty high. Especially with NOTHING else to go on.
