I do not believe that green in this case is for safety, but what's the worst that could happen?* Drink the green one.
* You could die instantly

Actually, we could get a worse fate: die completely randomly at some other stage later on.
Like this:
Page 67
Rah rah rah. Dee doo dee doo dee doo. Blah blah.
If you drank the green potion in Azazel's room, turn to page 196.
Page 196
You suddenly keel over, and throw up. The last thing you are aware of is your own vomit stuffing itself into your nostrils. It has something that looks like carrots in it, which is odd, because you don't remember eating any carrots recently. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to sip random vials after all.
You are dead.
You know: sort of like the ones where you get to the end and then you realise that you can't win the big boss fight because you forgot to buy the candle in the shop on the third page that you went to.

Wouldn't a stupid but brave person continue ransacking the room instead of drinking some dubious liquids? Anyway I vote for Clear as the lesser of 4 evils, Green's fine too though, it is my favorite color so it can't possibly be a bad thing.

You should drink the red one. Since it's the one that appears most dangerous on the surface, it is obviously the one that will give you superpowers.
Unless Azazel took that into account, and made the red one a deadly poison.
In which case you should drink the red one, since there is no option for mixing all four together and drinking the result.

Let's check out the room. The last one didn't kill us and it was named after a demon. This one is simply named after Christian Humanist
Desiderius Erasmus so it's not like that's worse.

That could be what they wanted you to think. This door is almost certainly bad for our health, especially if we've drunk the green potion. Press on!

If we do not go through thedoor and enter the Erasmus room, we are fools.

We are in an unknown house, where we have already been conked on the head at least once, and are drinking things which could be drain cleaner for all we know.
We passed fool long ago.
We can't stop here. This is bat country.

Look, we all know that spending a night in the house of hell was the biggest mistake of our lives. Let's not point fingers.
Anyway, we're all winners!
Ahh, binary landing-based choices. Who knows which way to go? It's like it's nigh-random! That said, this is our chance to go LEFT from our original room (for those mapping at home).

But maybe they're giving us a chance to turn back from the brink of the LANDING BALUSTRADE??!?

Lets logic. We know two things:
- We have been given the opportunity to turn back now instead of before or later.
- The fact that there is a choice involved instead of a scripted scene means that our "decision" will be significant.
Now, what do significant, no-information choices usually mean in FF? They usually mean that unless you do or have done something recently you fail miserably. Obviously, we have already been through the way we came, and have likely exhausted all our possible options that way. If we don't proceed there will very likely be a chance we will have missed out on something. Since missing options is a bad idea, logically we should open the door.
But since FF's logic likes to reverse itself every paragraph, we should turn back immediately.

Press on, MacDuff!
I believe we should keep on heading away from the voices that we heard before. Plus, the next room will probably have a fun name like "Snoopy" or something.

We should go back, remember the 2 guys? They kept going the other way to see "the Master." Somehow I doubt we want to run into that guy.
