The Vindicator was the premier Klingon CVA in the official SFU history, and I doubt the Feds would field a ship with the same name. Certainly would be bad for morale, I would think. I'll have to scratch that. The Udaloy is a series of Svoiet/Russian anti-submarine destroyers, while the Shenzhou is part of the Chinese space program - a good name for a class, but not a specific ship.

So at this point, I'm not particular to any of those names, so I'll keep the options open while I pare down images and prepare the narrative.

In that case, here are some additional naming options, just in case (a few links):

*Names of Ships_of_the_Union_Navy
*German Navy ship Names

Another name suggestions would be:

*USS Ironside
*USS Firehawk
*USS Wyvern

My suggestions:

*USS Trafalgar
*USS Salamis
*USS Leyte

Yeah, they're all famous naval battles, so sue me.

Lieutenant Sanchez, XO of the Jean Ponce de Leon walked down the deck three corridor, examining his PADD to try and determine which bunk room he should inspect next. He walked into the section of the old hull that was dominated by engineers due to the proximity to the Battery compartments and the port Impulse reactor assembly.

With that in mind, he picked a random number out of his head, and counted that many doors down. He paused before it, making sure no one saw him in the corridor as he straightened his own uniform. While he was doing his own inspections, who knows what the Captain was doing.

Without knocking, Lt Sanchez opened the door and walked in.

Less than a second later, he walked back out. "Carry on!" he said flatly as he moved down one door.

Behind him, the Marines who were in the process of affixing everything upsidedown to the ceiling of the bunkroom paused in thier current prank escalation. Major Kendall shrugged then got back to work. Starglider would pay for setting all his practice phasers to shoot pink beams!

You do realize that the Kzinti Mirak are Federation allies, and I have a Mirak ship on my side in one of the upcoming missions? I can't guarentee anything.

That's Right, the other Kzinti Lyran the Fed's enemies, willing to contribute to enemies' Drone Rape BBQs, as I love Scatterpacks, proper use of disruptors, and hurting monkeys.

I'll see if I can make a raid into Lyran territory for that then. But not right away.

I apologize. I have let this idea of mine atrophy, and everytime I look at it, I just can't build up the effort to write another part. And with University starting up in a week, I don't see much time in the near future for this as well.

Therefore, I must close this LP, and thank those who showed an interest in it. I may try again in the future, but I make no promises.

Well that's too bad. I see that Strak took over my job temporarily (I've been without internet for quite a while). You did quite well. I'll look for another one in the future.
