Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say that three officers responding to McCartney’s 911 call arrived at her home and found Ferrell nearby. When Ferrell saw the officers he advanced or ran toward them, police say, and one of the officers shot him with a Taser. When that didn’t stop him, Officer Randall Kerrick pulled out his gun and fired 12 shots at Ferrell, hitting him with 10.
That's actually pretty damned good accuracy/luck considering the stress, time of night, and he was using a pistol. Or it could just mean the confrontation took place at close range. You generally don't see accuracy like that in a police report. I think that one man who was shot in his front yard was hit 3 times by 30 some-odd rounds.

Are you for real? I mean, you are not a troll, are you? How do you exist in the real world?
Why is it a troll opinion that you be cautious when unknown people knock on your door?
Because calling the police when unknown people knock on your door is paranoid? Remember that your original assertion was that calling the police anytime someone unknown knocks on your door is a normal reaction.

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood
