And it sucked. Just plain sucked. The person who I thought was my date, and the only reason I even went in the first place, I barely even saw. All I had wanted to do was get one, just ONE, dance with her.

Sorry for your experience. I had a date for my prom, but if I could go 15 years into the past, I wouldn't go again. To this day, I'm convinced that proms, balls, or any other kind of formal event are only excuses for women to dress up (and get their men to dress up), so they can show off to each other. BTW, my date and I got ditched on our prom night. We were a couple of convenience, but we were pretty pissed off.

I was probably more a "date of convienience" too. Basically, she spent the whole night with her friends, dancing and doing whatever. About midway through, she moved her purse to another table (or, actually, had someone else do it). I don't know what table it eneded up at; never saw it again.

I did see her a few times, but before I could get a word in, something happened. One time, I was just about to open my mouth to ask her to dance, when some other guy got to her first and asked. The second, I was right there, about to tap her shoulder, when another guy I knew stepped up, had to do the hand shake and all that social business, and by the time I turned around, she was gone again. A third time, I managed to talk to her a little bit, even get a picture with her with my camera, but she got pulled away by one of her friends practically in mid-sentence.

The next time I saw her, she said it was time for her to go. So I walked her down to my car, got her stuff out so she could take it with her (she put it in there because her friend had not shown up who she was going to spend the night with; first words I heard from her was "Can I put my stuff in your car?" No hello, not even a wave), said goodbye, and went home.

If there were parties afterward (I know there were), I wasn't in any mood to go to them.

EDIT: I also wanted to get her a corsage, one of those "dately" things to do. She said she wasn't big on the tradition and stuff, but I wanted to get her one anyway, as sort of a surprise. That didn't work out either.

Basically, NOTHING worked out for me at Prom. Not a single thing.

Don't take this lying down. If I were you, I'd confront her and fucking demand my money back. One fucking picture isn't worth the $100 or so you spent on that ticket for her sorry ass. She's obviously a bitch, and the corsage deal just makes her an ungrateful cunt, to boot. If she doesn't even have the decency to dance with the guy that paid her way, then she's a whore, as well.

In short, I can see nothing positive or attractive in this girl.

The state of marriage can be legally reversed so that it never existed (even more extreme than divorce), if sex doesn't occur. Naturally any such sex has to be consensual. After that point a marriage can only be sundered by divorce, but I do not believe late of a sex life remains a grounds for divorce even in the U.S. (and even if it did such a sex life would have to be consensual.) These laws probably do need some revision, as the entire annulment thing is based on the Catholic ideal of marriage.
