That image gets the Valdemar Stamp of Approval.

On the Shinji note, I would love to see Misato go "Oh fuck it!" push Shinji out of the way, take her jacket off and pilot EVA-01 to a royal arse kicking of the production models.

World is saved, Misato is promoted, Gendo is pissed and Shinji got walloped... again.

Oh yeah, and Rei saves us from enduring a mind fucking 45 minute image of her spilling blood like the Exxon Valdez spilt oil and orbiting Earth so she can enjoy pie. :P

I've had the series box set on DVD sitting by my PC for the past 4 weeks and haven't watched it yet. I think I'll wait until back at uni.
