It takes awhile and you'd have to enter the single-player line to get any real gains from registration.

It's more the fact the game seems hell-bent on gangbanging me without lube.

For instance. I was rambling around Earth looking for 'roids. Cause I like mining 'roids. And I found this glowy thingy, a good ways east of Earth. If you enjoy being sodomized repeatedly with an unlubed chainsaw, go to the glowy thing and use the 'land' commands on it. You'll find yourself in Aurora space. And they'll treat you nice for a bit. Until you reach the border.

I've finished the tutorial bit now, and this game looks pretty cool. Need to get me some cash though so I can get out of this pokey little shuttle...

Ahh, you found a wormhole. I never bothered looking for them. I find that, if all possible you should jump immediately after exiting hyperspace if you're on a long trip (allowing for fuel, of course). You can plot waypoints in the nav map by holding down "shift" when plotting points.

Some bastard just randomly hit me with a missile as I flew past, I now have every status bar at zero apart from the middle one which has about 3 pixels left on it. My engines appear to be all blown up as well. I'm completely buggered here.

Well... After bribing some pirates not to blow me up, I bribed some bloke to help me. Sorted! I'm beginning to love this game!

You just communicate with them and beg for mercy or ask for assistance, they don't do it for free, though.

I'm making money hand over fist now on the trade route the bloke shows you at the beginning between Kania and Sol. I bought a terrapin and I'm shipping 125 tons of gear each way. I'm saving up for one of the frigates now, need to make another 500k then I can go bust some heads

BTW I'm in a Heavy Shuttle in Nesre Primus with a stranded Peggy which I'm trying to help by docking with, and the L Key won't work! I'm sure that Feddy Destroyer and its Viper escort orbiting around me are ROTFLTAO too! YAAGH! Help!

Sol - Tischel - kania, only 2 jumps. Medical Supplies to kania, Luxury Good to Sol, with a fully loaded Terrapin each way you can make an easy 50k with that route.

And I think you use 'b' to board ships not 'l'

Had a nice little rescue biz going in Pollux till those goddamn pirates blew me away from a planet I was trying to land on, then blew me up!

I have 75K in the kittu from rescuing some peepz from a dead ship, and I decided to ferry some other guys to Moonrise. Trouble is, some idiot capships were fighting right in my flight vector in Nesre Secundus. Now I'm stuck in the hyperspace corridor in the system's boonies, unable to hail any ships. At least I got Spacedock ready with a bribe should I ever get any help...

That sort of stuff is why I went to great lengths to make the cash to get this frigate. It just pissed me off when i had to bribe about 6 lots of pirates to not kill me before I could get help and run.

The game automatically saves where you last took off (it doesn't actually save when you land - important distinction if you duplicate your savegame file) so that might help ya.

Screw the IDG Frigate. The Pirate Excaliber is a better combat ship (it's available in Georgia at the Tania System)

Well it's too late for that now, I'm at the stage of the game were I can't buy anything needing a license. I hope that little annoyance runs out soon.

I managed to find a dead Pirate Capship from God knows where carrying a ton of loot. Pulled 500K in liquid cash and another hundred of luxury goods off it. Then I got me a Starbridge from a spoiled brat on Earth!!

Those BBS missions are pretty nice too...

The Vellos Campaign will take you awhile, unfortunately.

Bugger. I hope it doesn't need any heavy duty firepower then.

There will be some missions where you face a lot of firepower. Use the Vellos ships if you can, and try just plowing through the enemy force long enough to survive and land.

Okay then, I suppose at least I'm not still in my shuttle

I think I might buy this game, it looks like it could suck enough time to be worth it.

On a different savegame, I have a pair of Armed Levithians, the 1170 IDG Frigate, a Heavy Fighter Federation Carrier and the two Class D Pirate Starbridges. I chew through enemy forces too quickly to capture, so I usually have them stand down before I go in with the Winter Tempest. I also have those three Thunderhawks in a bay in this one (switched it around)

Another fun thing to do is to use one of the cheat plug-ins.

Get some escorts and the abilty to create alot of Darts and then challenge a planet's defence force, use only the Darts againsnt them. Sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

Anyways, I'd just unload with my railguns and Winter Tempest on your Levithian while everyone else is distracting your escort and PD fire

Grrr....I so wish ramming was a viable tatic in this game, nothing like a 500 meter Levithan filled with thousands of tons of cargo slamming full tilt into an enimy's ship.

I can't believe that stupid frigging telepath made me lose my ship. Bastard! I must have lost out on 600k with the loss of the ship and 250 tons of luxury goods.

Okay my Dart lasts approximately 3.5 seconds when I jump into this mission were I have to attack an enemy system. Bloody hell. Now I'm getting pissed off.
