Hm, funny, when I maxed up on "stock" components (lvl 5 stuff) I was able to kick their asses and they went back to whimpering/groveling mode and offering me stuff (not to mention all the free fuel from their steaming wrecks). The sequel was even better. Starflight II: Trade Routes of the Cloud Nebula. you were basiclly an inter stellar trader, but you had to solve thr problem of an uppity race of blobs called the spemin who, while once the whipping boys of the galaxy had suddenly become the most powerful race in the galaxy.
"Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders" was THE lucas masterpiece, closely followed by Monkey Island 2.Sriad wrote:When did Lucas Arts first start making their point & click RPGs (ie Monkey Island, etc)? Those definately deserve a spot if they're old enough.
Archon II: Adept!Darth Yoshi wrote:Archon. Like chess, but instead of the attacking piece always winning, you'd have to duke it out on a battlefield, and damage carried over between battles. The cheapest unit was definitely the light army's phoenix.
I spent so much time on that game... Mining robots gone crazy = endless hours of fun!Vertigo1 wrote:Descent!
I fondly recall the days of the Side Scrolling Duke Nukem!! In fact, when I first read of Duke Nukem 3D in the newspaper, the first thought which darted through the corridors of my mind was:Connor MacLeod wrote:an yone here remember when Duke Nukem was side-scrolling Shareware?
I still have Duke Nukem 1,2,and 3. 2 was all super-fancy graphics, I dunno why the went back to the old kind for 3.Simon H.Johansen wrote:I fondly recall the days of the Side Scrolling Duke Nukem!! Star <something> (Two players dogfight in space with lasers and missiles. Leave the game and it will give you a "May the Farce be with you." No, I didn't spell that word wrong.)
One of my favorites on the C64.Adventure Construction Set (Had fun designing Star Wars stuff.)
Still the greatest. I should really get D1x installed and play through the game again.Vertigo1 wrote:Descent!
