Said he loved you before two weeks. Wow. Is he generally an impulsive person? Maybe it's just me who thinks that's impulsive. *shrug* I don't take love lightly.

Neither do either of us. He didn't mean to - it slipped out. Besides, if it's true, it should be said.

I agree.

Have his friends always been like this? Did you have a falling out with them at one point?

On and off, and absolutely not.

How did he seem to take it? Did he just accept it and walk away type of thing, was he shocked that something was wrong? (I'm under the impression that you were the one to end it. If that's wrong, sorry.)

he nodded, agreed, we talked and cried for a while, then we parted. We've talked on line for the two days since, though. He wasn't that shocked, because I'd already said 'we need to talk' about somehitng I wasn't prepared to discuss over the phone.

And it was more of a mutual thing.

I guess when you want different things, hard decisions have to be made. Better than just living with something you know isn't working for you. One way or another, things will work out. They alway do.

Now go out tonight and get drunk with your friends. :P Just kidding.

Always better to be mutual than to have someone dump a person who wants to continue the relationship...

But that's not meant to diminish your pain, IB. *hug*

Ah hell. Sorry to hear that. I know what it's like to have good friends hate your significant other. Its such a major pain in the fucking ass. You'll get better, even if it dosnt feel like it now.

I am so sorry IB. *hugs*

Dont let it get you down though.

Somewhere out there, is a guy or girl, that will love you, respect you, and stand by you. Someone that will place you on the marble pedestal that you belong on. And you will find this person someday.

I dont think she would be afraid of the pedestal.. but if she is... it doesnt have to be especially tall.

I appreciate the sentiment, Aly, but I can't stand pedestals (was that an Alanis Morrisette ref, Bear, because I agree with the sentiments of that song).

relationships shoudl be equal.

Well, you DID have 3 good fun years together, and that is not to be sneezed at, and if you are able to retain a civil friendship that is icing on the cake. One of my closest, dearest friends now is a girl I dated almost 10 years ago; now she is like a sister to me. It is not always the best way for everyone but it works out like that sometimes.

Anyhow, when you look back on it, it sounds like there was more good than bad, so that was time well spent.

That they should be... sure both of you would be on pedestals and that could get tricky... Maybe if they had wheels and motors*jots down on list of future inventions*

But if he was willing to ditch you for friends that hated you... You are a great person and dont deserve that. *hugs*
