Some rap is fucking awesome, some is really bad, overall, I think it's ok. It's certainly better than country music or folk music, and the best rap is better than the best rock, IMO (though there's more good rock than good rap).

Back on topic, the majority of rap that catch, I like. There is some definate bullshit on the airwaves, but the same can be said of any kind of music. Pharcyde, De La Soul, Busta, Tupac, and some others are pretty good. Some of 50 and DMX is coo, but some isn't...

I vehemntly hate all forms of Rap. Many in my family do as well. I consider it non-musical drivel.

Nearly all rap is about one or a combination of the following:
Sex, Drugs, and Violence.

There's very little variety from what I can tell. I'll admit Eminem's stuff is pretty catchy, but I can't honestly say I really like it. Rap is to music as crayons are to fine art.
