Right. Unfortunately I'll never see any of your bright and shining--if not thoroughly disgusted faces on cereal boxes. I have long held the belief that breakfast is an archaic and uneccesary meal invented by Post, Keloggs, and General Mills--the cereal cabal--in order to make us wake up earlier and sleep in later. To what end? Only time will tell.

But rest assured, the cereal cabal is watching. I'd best be on my way to the Galapagos before the hitman shows up.

Good day.

I have just one more thing to add.

The cereal companies should make more products with the faces and bodies of attractive women on the box. That way we can all stop masturbating to Tony the Tiger.

Actually there should be a cereal with a pic of my ass on the cover.

Choco-bits! Now with 10% more fiber!

Well here in Ottawa, teachers get paid pretty well but they still bitch (mainly their union reps and some not so smart teachers) about needing more money. As far as I heard, teachers here start at about 30K+ and 50K+ after 10 years and there are some that make more than 70K.

If you must know, I counted in ALL of my incomes, and am no longer a music teacher (as my primary source of income, anyway). I have a grand total of (if you count each different school where I teach private lessons and/or percussion ensemble as a different job, which they are, technically) five jobs right now.

So there you are, Mr. Billionaire. :P

Come back to Jersey. I know of at least one district that pays $40,000 to bachelors degree holders, $70,000 to teachers with masters.

Gloucester County, about 20 minutes southeast of Philadelphia. I'm job hunting here right now, and I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the figures I'm seeing.

Hampton (the NDP leader) once commented that the teachers' union in Ontario is very good at saying what it is against, but not too good at saying what it's for. In 1985, they were against Conservative Frank Miller. In 1987, they were against Liberal David Peterson. In 1990, they were against ultra-liberal Bob Rae (remember the guy who said "we'll spend our way out of this recession"?). In 1995, they were against Conservative Mike Harris. In 2003, they're against Conservative Ernie Eves.

It seems to me that Ontario's teachers should say what would actually make them happy rather than simply complaining that the current administration has mistreated them. Because they're always complaining that the current administration has mistreated them.

It sounds like your teacher's unions are worse than ours. And that's saying something.

True. Should the Liberals win this election, the unions will bitch to them also.

What I also find funny but annoying is that the school boards (at least here in Ottawa) want the control over the money given returned to the boards. In other words, they don't want to balance their budgets, they just hike the taxes. When the Tories took that away from them and gave all boards equal money per student to all boards, they cry foul and say that they don't get enough money.

Well I just got a phone call. You can breathe easy now since I ain't gonna be on a cereal box so you can take those goggles off now. There goes my shot at fame and glory, my chance to be adored by millions of cereal eaters everywhere. Guess I'm not studly enough to be on a cereal box. Oh well, good thing I didn't quit my dayjob.
