As if you'd judge a person bad by a name like Chanequa. It's got a foreign sound to it anyway.A "Real" Name is something that, traditionally has a meaning associated with it. and it can be unusual. Look at some of the names pouring out of the middle east (That we americans were only recently exposed to) Itzak Al-Habim Al-shrinda Makari, and the like. Do I think THEY'RE stupid? No. They have a meaning. typically they identify a person's lineage, as I understand it. But names like LaRinda, Chanequa, RaDermia, Taquishita, and their ilk mean nothing, SOUND made up, and sound unintelligent. Whether YOU like it or not, the world is a harsh place, and people DO judge other people on superficial bullshit like their names. It happens, it has happened and will continue to happen, and parents should consider this before naming their kids after a sound they make when they sneeze.

Yeah....whatever.I didn't say I personally would judge based on a name,(and I wouldn't) but alot of people do. and I was giving examples, not talking about specifics (Ref. Chanequa-it does not sound ethnic to me). And yes, alot of those names are a random assortment of meaningless syllables and they DO sound stupid (Not to say the PERSON is stupid). that's my opinion, and I won't change it. until you can show me something which legitimizes these names as derivatives of meaningful words from other languages, they will remain stupid and sound like the mutterings of a language which never existed.
Keep in mind many people are petty, mean-spirited, and evil. Alas, with my jaded view of humans in general, My opinion of people as such will remain unchanged.
