Not to mention slang is now part of the Oxford Dictionary. Words like badass, hoes, bleotch... etc etc are in there. "Yo what's up dawg?"

There wa actually a funny segment on ABC news where this guy from Webster's Dictionary was explaining how "hottie" and "boty" are now part of the English (American English at least) language.

Aside from just plain old "passive Agressive" there is an actual term for this logical fallacy, but it's name escapes me now. Something along the lines of preemptive strike or something. Basically you insult us and then prepare to claim victem status should we respond in kind.

Seriously, there appears to be a wider range of views and opinion on SB than here (inevitably given the expressed intent and focus of these boards), which leads to about equal parts nonsense and sense. There are endless threads of nonsense, and some fools, but that certainly isn't a unique characteristic of SB. About the only aspect of SB that I mind (and that I can't filter) is that the focus has so obviously diverged from posting CG movies of stuff being blown up, which is unfortunate.

Honestly, it's far worse there than here. True some threads get hijacked here too. But over all SB.com is much much worse. The problem is at Spacebattles.com the lunatics are getting an equal say in running the asylum. The nonsense isn't the problem, it's the abusive tyraids, the vicious personal attacks and the general shittyness of the debates. And the mods do nothing!

I don't think that's so. It's a forum without a focus on a particular sci-fi show or series, that's all. It's perfectly possible to ignore a thread you don't like, both there and here.
